"Vigilante murder" would be where the vigilantes are chasing and shooting at. Kyle was the one being chased and threatened at gunpoint.
Riots are the equivalent of drugs for thugs, they literally revel in the destruction, and when one is over they look for the chance to do it again.
I don't think such people are of any value to society and never will be- and attempts to appease them are futile.
That's limits your choices of what to do about them, and tolerating them is a damn poor choice.

Vigilantes existed as a form of keeping order in places where formal law and order did not. IF formal law withdraws and leaves people no alternative, you can expect actual vigilante groups to form again.
Rittenhouse was one person, hardly a vigilante and hardly with vendetta. He became the target of thugs on drugs; he was their victim and would have their dead victim if he had not defended himself.
Ask yourself why THEY they were chasing him.

Actually I guess that's a waste of time, I've never seen logic get past your fence yet.

Nope, just pointing out your theory of him crying on the stand wasn't the evidence that cleared him.

Because he wasn't guilty and had nothing to hide

It means they exhausted every witness testimony and gave a rock solid unanimous not guilty finding.

It means he didn't shoot him in the back while chasing him down the street because he knew that would be murder.

i found this on another site, but to me it is quite interesting. quote:
    Written by Justin Wright.
A lot of folks are having a fit because Rittenhouse was acquitted. Someone reasonable wrote the following:
"I have watched the whole Rittenhouse case.
I didn't know that Kyle put out a dumpster fire that was being rolled down to a gas station to blow up, with people all around.
I didn't know that the Police were told to stand down as businesses were destroyed.
I didn't know that Kyles Dad, Grandma and Friends all lived in Kenosha, 20 minutes from where he resided with his Mom part time in Illinois.
I didn't know that Joseph Rosenbaum knocked him down twice and then attempted to kick him with lethal force to the head. I didn't know that Huber had hit him in the head 2x with a skateboard.
I didn't know Gaige Grosskreutz, a felon in possession of firearm, aimed his gun at Kyle first, as he admitted on the stand.
I also didn't know that in the State of Wisconsin, it is legal for Kyle to have a gun, even at 17 (which was why the gun charge was dismissed).
I didn't know that Kyle did not cross state lines with a gun he wasn't supposed to have. The rightful gun owner did, as he was legally permitted to do.
I also didn't realize that Rosenbaum was a 5 time convicted child rapist and that Huber was a 2 time convicted woman beater. I didn't know that Grosskreutz was a convicted Burglar with an assault on his record also.
IF THE MEDIA DID THEIR JOB... we would ALL have known this!
All of these pesky little FACTS add up to the case should've never been brought in the first place. Typical case of the media and far left colluding with one another to push the narrative they wish to make the American people believe."

any comments on this i would enjoy reading. to get the other sides view. thanks  :)

No one should be happy. Rittenhouse no doubt saw his life flash before his eyes when the verdict was read. He could hardly stand up. His lawyer later said Kyle wouldn't do it again. Not much of a win for those on the right who think defending property is a good thing.

What do most of us want? Protection for ourselves, family, friends and community. We also want to protect our property. We want police and courts to do those jobs for us. They aren't.

I live in an upper-income area. There is very little crime against persons or property. But just a couple of miles away there is a lot of crime. Decent people who live there are upset. They can't walk out of their apartment building without encountering a scary element.

Rittenhouse defended himself. Simple as that. Two people stupid enough to attack a guy who has an assault rifle found out you sometimes don't get a do-over. The third guy got himself shot because, and he admitted as much, he pointed a gun at an armed man who he knew had already used his weapon twice in the last ten minutes.

Let's not turn Kyle into a target by making him part of the culture wars.

Not much of a victory if you end up being accused of murder for defending yourself.

Fake News. You would have to be really gullible to believe that, and that level of gullibility can really be a problem.

Shameful BS. There are Democrats who believe Rittenhouse did something illegal, but they're not calling for lynching.

He shouldn't have been on trial.

When you're falsely accused at the moon news media hasn't been better against you and you have a malicious prosecutor and a state that wants to Lynch you defeating that is a victory of Justice.

All of this is because the scum that orchestrated this malicious trial don't want people to be able to defend themselves.

The outcome is the victory. The injustice of this entire ordeal was the fact that Kyle was even put on trial in the first place. But since he was and then subsequently acquitted there is some good to come from all of this. The media themselves are even claiming this was arguably the most highly publicized trial since OJ and America itself was watching and waiting for the verdict and the precedent it would set going forward. I hate it that Kyle had to go through what he did, even if he does end up suing the crap out of the media for defamation and never works a day again in his life it's still not worth what he had to endure. But him going through that caused America itself to tune in and pay attention and the verdict and precedent set forward was loud and clear for the entire country to hear. You have the right to defend yourself and your property from the mob that has held this country hostage for the past couple of years.

I really do hate it that Kyle had to be the sacrificial lamb and endure such a trail in order for that underlying message to be heard by this country. But it was a message desperately needed right now as this country quickly disintegrated into chaos and mob rule. The mainstream media is freaking out right now over the "precedent" that this verdict sets and that is music to my ears. The ONLY people who have any reason to be afraid of the "precedent" this sets are those who believe that rioting, property destruction, arson, harassment, intimidation, physical assault, and murder are all acceptable means of protesting as long as your "cause" is "just". And those are the exact people who needed to learn the meaning of fear and consequences for their actions because they have been allowed to run amok with impunity in this country for way too damn long.

What I saw was a slant that questioned what Rittenhouse was "doing there" with a firearm but no question about what an armed Grosskreutz was doing chasing Rittenhouse.

Grosskreutz said he had gone to the protest in Kenosha to serve as a medic. He thought there was an active shooter on the scene and he tried to stop the bloodshed in vain. Rittenhouse shot Grosskreutz in the arm, tearing away much of his bicep. When we face an active shooter or a terrorist, we are supposed to act like Todd Beamer who cried "Let's roll!"

He also said he was "concerned" about the people attacking Rittenhouse. Yet he goes up to him with a gun...and then points the gun at him. From what I can tell the only time Gaige told the truth was when he was on the stand and was made to admit that he was pointing his gun at Kyle as Kyle shot his bicep off due to photo evidence. Everything else he said is a lie or to be taken with a grain of salt...at best.

He wasn't shooting his gun until after he was attacked and had twice been knocked off his feet.

    Indeed.

Apparently, some liberals think the law doesn't include the right to carry a firearm and use it to defend yourself or others. But it does.

Kyle acted entirely within the law. If liberals want to change those laws, they need to win elections.
What are you talking about? Biden has only been President for ten months.
Nothing has been gained and Rittenhouse should not be considered fodder in the culture wars.
The country has not "quickly disintegrated into chaos and mob rule."
They're laughing to the bank, not "freaking out." They all stir the pot for money. CNN, MSNBC, Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC, etc.
No precedent was set by Rittenhouse's acquittal, other than you can beat the charges if you do everything right.
A different issue. In some cities (not that many), the city won't enforce law and order. The people in those communities need to take corrective measures at the ballot box.

    Here are my thoughts:

    1. Rittenhouse is a kid who got in over his head. I don’t think he should have been there that day but I acknowledge his right to be there.

    2. Rosenbaum didn’t seem to be BLM from what I saw, he was apparently a mental health patient with violent tendencies who wanted to get violent.

    3. Rittenhouse was being chased by Rosenbaum when someone fired a gun in the air. That would make any reasonable person feel their life was in danger. There is no doubt that Rosenbaum would have caused great harm to Rittenhouse.

    4. After shooting Rosenbaum, Rittenhouse seemed to flee the scene out of self preservation. Someone can be heard yelling “why did you shoot him?” which causes Rittenhouse to run, other people begin chasing after him.

    5. Huber and others chase Rittenhouse down in a manner that would have made Rittenhouse fear for his safety. Hitting him with skateboards and jumping on him. In my opinion Rittenhouse would have been gang beaten or worse if he had not discharged his weapon. One of his attackers had a handgun in his hand as he attacked Rittenhouse.

    6. Based on the law in Wisconsin Rittenhouse went free and that fits the law quite indisputably in my opinion. I think in other jurisdictions he would have at least received a manslaughter conviction. I personally believe that a manslaughter conviction would have been just.

    7. I think the police acted irresponsibly by driving the protestors down the street toward the armed militia.

    8. I may not understand this right but I understand the misdemeanour charge for being out after curfew was dropped because there was no curfew. I believe the police were advising the protesters that there was a curfew. It seems to be irresponsible on their part.

    9. Generally speaking I agree with the BLM movement but I disagree with rioting and destruction of property. I also disagree with armed militia showing up to defend property that doesn’t belong to them.

    10. I think both left and right and should feel bad about the incidents that day. Both sides should be reconsidering how they want their message to be conveyed and understood. The police handled it poorly too.

The guy is a damn liar. I saw his first TV interview after his testimony sitting next to his female attorney.

He sat right there on national television and denied that he ever pointed his pistol at Rittenhouse.

He and his attorney must think the rest of the world is as stupid as he is.

But then again there are a lot of low info easily manipulated gullible marks out there consuming news media

Don't worry, lefties will find another one soon and the media will stoke the flames.

This is just another case that should never have went to trial.
