She isn't talking about condoms. I have no idea how you came up with that far fetched idea.

Back off the ledge lemming. No where is anyone suggesting that someone be forced to use contraception with no regard for their religious beliefs. Merely if folks are employed by secular institutions run by a church that said institution has to follow employment law that all other secular institutions do (provide insurance coverage that OFFERS contraception).

'Without insurance'?? Why, has she been turned down? If under 24 she is still a child and can get cheap insurance under her folks umbrella...If she does not have insurance, then that was here choice.

There is nothing that says she has to have that health plan...she could buy her own plan at any time.

What she is insisting on is her 'right' to 'free' contraceptive services under the vague umbrella of 'women's health' trumps the nations right to protect religious freedom for everyone else...

I disagree...The First Amendment trumps BoBoCare...

Child sex is available in every country in the world including the US.

So whatever country you are talking about it is not exclusively for child sex.

    You totally wrong.

That is exactly what a health insurance agreement entitles you to.

    What contraceptives does she take?

How much does each pill cost and how often does she need one?

If she is so poor that she can't afford the primo contraceptives why not buy condoms instead rather than imposing herself on others?

Right, make them pay for something that is an anathema to their religion. I know you guys hate religion, but there is a place in our constitution giving freedom to believe what you want and living your life to those beliefs without coercion from government.

This is the first administration in my memory that believes dictating what religious institutions can or can't do with their own money is OK and somehow constitutional.

I know you statists think that whatever the government says must be OK because some bureaucrat said it, but as you lose your freedom and start whining about it, you will have only yourself to blame.

I wonder when this administration will start forcing the Amish to drive Chevy Volts? That would be OK with you, right?

I would also like to know when it became OK for the government to tell business what it could or could not sell and for how much? When did the populous, people like you, become slaves and apologists to the government?

Only if the cost of her policy is more than the cost of the service but, she has testified her contraceptive costs are vast so she must be getting subsidized...

You are aware that health insurance is a part of the compensation that an employee receives? So anyone employed is paid in salary and ALSO BENEFITS including health insurance. So it is not free 'stuff'.

She was speaking about hormonal contraceptives, such as the pill. Pills are taken daily and it has absolutely nothing to do with the amount of sex you have.

Condoms are 86% effective with normal use, where the pill is 91-99% effective. The pill also has many other uses, such as treatment for ovarian cysts as well as premenstrual disorders, acne, and other hormonal imbalances. She was not only speaking of herself, but of other female students.

She isn't trying to impose herself on anyone. She pays a heafty sum for student health insurance and thinks that the private insurer should cover contraceptives, much like the compromise made for employees of religious institutes.

This is just government discrimination masquerading as compassion.

More pavement for the path toward totalitarian government.

According to the Georgetown website, students pay $1209-$1895 PER TERM for insurance. That's more than enough to cover the cost of contraceptives.

The 1st Amendment doesn't allow for radio personalities to slander a student who appears infront of Capitol Hill. Sorry.

Still not free 'stuff', but a part of her mother or fathers compensation package. Try again?

She takes a morning after pill whether she has sex or not?

It sounds like this woman is too poor for the primo contraceptive pill but could afford a condom - even if she needs two or three per day.

Plus the condom if used would protect her from the STD's that sure are just a matter of time for her.

In fact since pills do not protect from sexually transmitted disease then it should be made a rule to use condoms for public safety.

    Don't you agree?
