Oh cut it out. I live here because I was born and raised here, and my family is here. That doesn't mean it's better...except maybe for our climate. I'm just glad to see Russia is retaining a semblance of decency in contrast to our criminality...and believe me, our Washington sociopaths are criminals.

if you really felt the USA was soooo horrible and Russia was sooo wonderful...you would get you ass on a plane and move there.

but obviously you're a smart lad.

you know the USA is the land of opportunity and freedom, and Russia is just a backwards place with little to no hope for a western lifestyle.

congrats dude, you've made the right choice.

I don't doubt it, but they are trying to correct it at least, while we on the other hand, are doing the exact opposite.

True, for this reason I wish that in Europe ceased to propagandize the gay movement, violently with compulsory instructing at elementary school, even contrary to parents desire. Everything is good in its time I survived just fine knowing nothing about gays in the childhood.

How can you possibly say that are CORRECTING it?

Putin and his former KGB Cronies are sucking the wealth out of Russia while the average Russian family struggles.

If anyone really wants to know how things are in Russia...just ask any permananty stationed in the U.S....Russian Diplomat and his or her family think about going back to live in Russia or send their kids to school or College in Russia!! LOL!!!

They have absolutely no intentions of EVER leaving the U.S. if they can help it.

most Russians with a brain would gladly come and live in the USA, rather than stay in Russia.

    that's just the facts.

    look at the immigration numbers.

The issue over Gay's in Russia is the LEAST of Russia's problems.

If Putin thinks that Russia's youth will buckle down and accept austerity measures like in the time of Stalin...Putin is DELUSIONAL!!!

I have a lot of Russian friends living in Russia and they are sick and tired of being the one's to sacrifice while the Russian Leadership lives a decadent life of luxury.

Now I understand why Putin's ratings went up as older Russian's dreaming of days gone by when Russia was a Superpower cheer Putin on everytime he get's in a shot on the West....but when the Russian economy starts to collapse...they won't be cheering.

The sad things is it is entirely unnecessary.

If Putin had allowed the joint Russian/U.S. Siberian Infrastructure and Oil and Gas exploration and Drilling Plan to go forward back 11 years ago....the Russian economy would be BOOMING!!!

Instead there is less Oil flowing from Siberia now than there was 11 years ago.

Russia and the U.S. should be partners...not rivals.

    You got that right!

Nothing works over there....and things are just falling apart while Putin and his former KGB Cronies skim off profits that should go to fix Russian Infrastructure.

this thread reminds me of a Russian friend of mine.

ever since the Russia-Ukraine war started, he can't stop bashing the USA.

every day, every hour, be bashes the USA..

...and yet, he has accepted tens of thousands of dollars in Hurricane Sandy aid from the Federal govt.

he has accepted hundreds of hours of free vacation time to fix his home.

he made buddy buddy with his insurance agent to get more money for his ruined home.

he loves to hate the USA...but he has zero intention of moving back to Russia or even gettign back his Russian citizenship.

    funny..huh? :)

Now tell me what is the difference comparing the USA? Considering the multi-billion income of superrich 1%. If u are not a lazy ass and invest ur time in education U ll live in Russia just fine. U are trying to paint the situation in black and white colors. There are always been poor and rich people no matter what country it is.
According to data of tax service ISR, more than 50% of american families earn less than a level of poverty. 75% of Americans have more debt, than assets.

PS i have a lot of russian friends who are completely happy with the value of their lives.

The U.S. was the land of opportunity at one time, but is it today? Look that's not my concern, Washington's my concern because of what they are doing. How can a nation be a democracy when its government lies and doesn't allow its people to know what it's doing? How can it be considered a democracy if the will of the people is not taken into account, and they have to be deceived? To me the U.S. is officially a cult.:oldman:

You are correct....but even American's on Welfare and getting Food Stamps tend to live a higher standard of living that what is the average Russian Family.

I have been to Russia and I like the people very much but right now Russia's Democracy is being STOLEN by Putin.

When Putin took over all Russian media that is when we said....Oh man....he is forming a Dictatorship.

Russia has large natural resourses but it cannot exploit them because of the non-existent Siberian Infrastructure which is what the United States was to help Russia with.

It would have created MILLIONS OF JOBS.

Instead...Putin wanted to consolidate power like Soviet Leaders of the past.

It is a sad state for Russian's.

Excuse me, you are thinking of Washington's cronies during the Yeltsin years, when they stripped the country of its wealth. They left when Putin came in, and the rest are paying their taxes and being very good boys. Putin is known for his integrity. Also life is much better for the average Russian now than it was when the American installed criminals ran it.

And I on the other hand, know people who would never live in the U.S. To each his own. .

The infrastructure in Siberia is going to be developed together with China. The project will cost seventy billion dollars...and Russia will put up most of the money. Russia's problem is that it was looking westwards towards Europe, but that changed because of the E.U.s stupidities, and now they will be working mostly with the BRIC nations. They are thrilled to have Russia's leadership...especially in helping them get rid of the dollar, and forming an alternative to the IMF. There is an economic war going on.

As for the sanctions, it was a perfect excuse for Russia to stop all imports from the E.U. and become self sufficient. Russia had joined the world trade union, and because of the competition, they couldn't develop their own industries after the break down of the Soviet Union. The other thing the sanctions and Western propaganda did was that it aroused a fervent sense of patriotism in the Russia people. This is why Vladimir Putin's support is now at 84%. As for any food shortage, China will be able to cover it all by December.

Here is the problem with such thinking.

By 2025...well ahead of any meaningful development being completed upon Siberian Infrastructure by China and Russia....the U.S. and Canada will not only be completely energy self sufficient but as well the United States will become the #1 Exporter of Shale Oil and remain the #1 Exporter of Coal in the World.

Canada will become the #1 Exporter of Sand Tar Oil in the World.

The U.S. and Canada will be fullfilling the energy needs of Europe and China at a cheaper price than Russia a DECADE before the Russian/Chinese development plan is ready.

By the time Russia and China are ready to export....U.S. Fusion Tech. will be ready....and make Fossil Fuels a thing of the past.

I remember in highschool we had a girl who was an exchange student from Russia. Damn that (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) was fine. Anyway. One day a few of us are talking in class and the subject of Stalin and the 10s of millions of his own people that he butchered and this chick literally wigs the (*)(*)(*)(*) out. Out of nowhere she jumps up in the middle of the class room screaming at the top of our lungs about how were liers and how dare we say such horrible things about the hero Stalin and... Well I mean it was rather sad. This chick literally had no clue. And the way she freaked out was just so messed up. I remember thinking to myself. "Is this what it's like in Russia? Do they do this to all their kids? Are they really that controlling of information that important historical information like that not only isn't known but people literally have a breakdown in the middle of class when they hear it?" It was pretty crazy. I guess big brother never stopped watching you in Russia.

Russians are better informed about events in Ukraine then you are. Hundreds thousands of refugees fled form Ukraine in Russia. These people do not need American propaganda for information. They know it first hand what is going on in Ukraine and they have learned about so-called Western values from it. Kiss butt of Kolomoysky.

Who are intellectuals? Only a rich person can flee. Our billionaires are fleeing from taxes as well. hey are not necessarily intellectuals, just thieves.

I fled from communism, not from Russia.

Excuse me but many people in Ukraine have relatives in Russia, so to be exposed to the truth you need just to ask? Or you think that the real truth about Ukraine is in US? That's an interesting thought.

I don't know what the real reason is behind this but homophobia is an excuse. I think it is obvious, nobody cares about gays, money is what moves the world.

I mean, come one, you really believe that the only thing that Putin is afraid are gays? Politicians of those ranks don't even have any sexual problems or phobias, since they can screw anyone and anything.

Those tendencies are slowly changing. First of all not many people can just move to another country, second the cultural and ideological base is growing stronger.
