Here America itself establishes rules of the game. And when sanctions against Russia begin to disturb America, she selectively cancels them :)

US has partially lifted sanctions against cooperation on helicopter maintenance in Afghanistan, the Russian presidential envoy to Afghanistan said Tuesday.

The most amusing what the management of the USA doesn't understand yet that these sanctions in the long-term did Russia only good. Russia, having lost foreign deliveries, I began to develop very strongly internal production and to lift the economy. Yes, in the short term it leads to some fall of level of living (10-15% a year). There are some examples which are a direct consequence of sanctions (in the broadest sense — the investigation of pressure of the USA upon Russia):

    — Russia set to be biggest wheat exporter for first time

    — From Arms to Farming: Russian Grain Boom Brings in More Than Weapons Sales

    — Russia, U.S. reach cease-fire deal for Syria

Actually, even all story with the Crimea is the investigation of pressure of the USA. If the USA hasn't developed and hasn't supported a coup in Ukraine, then the Crimea still would remain Ukrainian. As well as Donbass.

In Europe the first understood uselessness of sanctions and a direct loss from them for themselves in Italy and France. And now they oppose sanctions and constantly conduct negotiations with Russia. Germany too would already join them long ago, but Merkel conducts very pro-American line item. On what now catastrophically lost support of simple Germans. Well, and Great Britain — always played against Russia...

    - French winery wants to invest in Crimea
    - Slovak leader Fico, critic of Russia sanctions, to visit Moscow
    - One more Italian region joining demands to recognize Crimea, lift anti-Russian sanctions
    - One of the French Senators has changed his mind to visit Crimea, other 11 still intend to
    - Italy, Hungary say no automatic renewal of Russia sanctions
    - Czech president calls for lifting sanctions against Russia
    - Delegation of Italian Lawmakers Planning to Visit Crimea

What cruel world isolation of Russia! :D

(I here don't write it about Japan, China, etc. yet)

Your right to continue or finish sanctions. But I haven't understood what behavior at Russia, which has entailed sanctions? Not submission to the American dictatorship?

Gee, maybe that would work with Iran and North Korea as well. Been drinking much of the Trump Kool aid recently?

It is an occasion. But the question above means the reasons. Sanctions was prepared long before the Ukrainian events. About it was written to media in 2013 and earlier much. Therefore sanctions in 2014 were imposed so quickly (literally — few days). Besides, sanctions were imposed and earlier. For example, sanctions against the electronic firms in 2012.

Therefore, not if there was no Crimea, an occasion (the correct term? According to the English dictionary it is somehow difficult to distinguish a concept of the reason and an occasion) for sanctions it would be thought up some other.

2013: California Legislators Are Seeking Sanctions Against Russia, Citing Anti-Gay Laws

And much more. Sanctions against Russia were not imposed because Russia is doing something or not doing. But because Russia pursues an USA-independent policy.

It is version - official western promotion!

The fact - according to international law, any nation has a right to self-determination. In the Crimea there was a referendum, people voted under the international observation also. The Russian army, didn't exceed quantity 20 000, under the contract with Ukraine. Ukraine doesn't file a lawsuit against Russia - doesn't require compensation because Russia didn't violate international law and in the West and in Ukraine know that in court they have no chances to win.

Also the fact, sanctions shall is entered against any country, according to international law, but the West led by the USA imposed sanctions independently - violating international law. In other words - the USA showed aggression against Russia and violating international law, does threat for on safety of world peace. (The USA it does often)

Worry not - soon as Hillary is elected, she'll create another RESET button (hopefully, correctly spelled this time) and present Putin with it.

Viola! We will all be good good friends again.

Why don't we pile 400 million onto a plane and fly it to Putin?

But Putin has great support with the masses and now thanks to his western friends he and the Russian elites can run austerity and blame the west. Where would the sugar babies and things come from if Russia actually had the budget to alleviate poverty in Russia? Putin gives the Russian peasants austerity and the cheer. That is pretty good leadership in my opinion. Sure his western allies are helping but Putin still needs to be a guy that the masses support - and the Russian peasants do support him. So in my opinion Trump is right that Putin is a great leader. He clearly is.

Anyway, westerners need to watch out for Putin and the Russian bear. With tensions so high between USA and Russia anything could happen. WW3 could be sparked over Ukraine if Putin does not back off. God knows what could happen over Syria. I am very worried about it and I think that the Russians are kind of scary. I am also very worried about the Chinese Panda. I also read that Putin has banned Pornhub in Russia. What is that all about?

Don't you long for the good old days when Putin was our friend? I remember Romney saying Russia wasn't our friend the Dems and lapdog media mocked him for it. They said he was a fool stuck in the old Cold War mindset.

Not Russia sticks it's snouty snout in many Countries trying to make them into Russian Republics, I witnessed that in a rather small Country, University was lousy with Russians trying to stir up Student revolt.

You make Not Russia sound liked a spoiled Brat teenaged girl that is mad at her parents for not letting her date any guy she wants to date.

America has been supporting Not Russia since before 1914.

Funny how a successful business man like Trump would speak so nicely of the big failure at business that is Not Russia.

Everything is much worse. If such bans were introduced only by Putin, he would never have enough time :) But there is the Russian Parliament (the Duma). It need to show that it is active. And it takes stupid laws and creates a stupid organization. For example, Parliament created the organization Roscomnadzor (service for supervision of communications) . To enforce laws on the Internet. For example, to ban sites that violate copyrights. But the Roscomnadzor need also to show that he was not created in vain and have to work. And it two days ago, make bann PornHub :) Because the distribution of pornography is prohibited in Russia...

With this, as they say in Russia, "imitation of rough activity" comes to the ridiculous. Roskomnadzor can ban entire websites and individual pages. This year was banned large site with pirate literature. Banned entire site. And yesterday came the news that Roscomnadzor banned two more pages not this resource. Entire banned :) All Russian Internet laughs... :)

Hot heads in Russia now saying the same thing. The U.S. has always been an enemy of Russia and we shouldn't have ruined their country in the 1990s in an attempt to make peace with the West.

But people in Russia really cried September 11, 2001. My girlfriend was crying...

But how many people of US cried when the terrorists killed hundreds of children in Beslan in 2004? Russia — it's so far away...
