Look. Ukraine is in full preparation for war, even forced women to register with the military registration and enlistment office. And in Russia they don’t talk about the war at all. It looks like this picture was taken during tactical portion of the training. The civilians do practice shooting with a range of different real weapons and they do shoot live rounds.

I hope you are right and that beautiful Ukrainian girl won’t have to shoot at your troops.

 

I hope our government arranged some mechanism that enables civilian access to weapons and ammo we shipped them. Ukrainians themselves are the best defenders of their land, nobody else. Enemy’s morale will quickly wear off if they are being shot at by civilians from every possible direction.

Not nonsense! Those people treat you as a threat. That picture alone proves how civilians feel about seeing Russian troops on their streets. If they are taking their time to do this training then one can reason that they seriously consider using those skills if invasion comes. You won’t be welcomed with bread and salt, that’s for sure.

 

I’m an experienced firearm owner and I can assure you that the only way you can learn how to use a real weapon, is by practicing with the real weapon.

 

A civilian with a weapon in his hands in a war zone ceases to be civilian by definition.

Thedimon, I agree that if any citizen wants to protect his country of imminent invasion (in which he personally believes), he has the right to train regardless of gender and nationality.
But it has to be practice. With heavy weapons, with which you need to fall into the mud, managing to hide from the enemy. War games like Paintball or Lasertag are more appropriate.
They are able to give real skills and at least some idea of what will happen in a real battle. What can this lady do? NOTHING.

You are wrong. Civilians like her don’t have to engage in direct combat - she can kill opportunistically, when she feels safe. That’s the horrors part for a soldier to be in such a hostile crowd - they’ll kill you when others aren’t watching, it’s not a question of if, it’s a question of when.

 

That's true...it must be quite disconcerting for the Kremlin clown to see this and no outpouring of support even in Russian speaking areas like Kharkiv,Mariupol,Odessa.

 

Ukraine is making some very smart moves with this civilian preparation.
I remember talking to a former Soviet soldier who fought in Afghanistan and he was telling a story that, I believe, happened to him in Afghanistan during his deployment - their group was waking up to find one of their members quietly stabbed almost every night. They couldn’t figure out how an afghan could sneak in to their camp undetected, and they never did find out, but this almost daily decrease in their head count resulted in some of his fellow troops literally losing their minds. He was saying that was the most traumatic experience he ever had to go through.
Guarilla warfare knows no honor - you can shoot in the back, no one who matters to you will judge. Training a large number of civilians to participate in defense will subject Russian troops to similar experiences.

Now I'm supposed to believe the baseless Intelligence Reports coming out of the Biden Administration about a false flag video of a Ukrainian terrorist blowing himself up so the Russians can justify a war in Ukraine. "Prove it" (paraphrase) said a reporter in the press gallery. The Biden Official replied by calling reporters questing the data as 'Russian Propagandists'. I've watched dozens of interviews with normally dressed Ukrainian Citizens that are not concerned about an invasion, or are completely un-phased by it. Maybe that's just wishful thinking. I'm seeing these garbage propaganda explanations and staged video analyses despite the fact that the US media and internet outlets censor free speech so they can spread party propaganda and misinformation. Where is the proof? Oh you got a Satellite Image of Russian Troop buildup surrounding Ukraine? Convince me. I remember a satellite photo of WMD facilities in Iraq that turned out to not to be true. I remember when Biden was VP of the Administration that handed weapons over to an Islamic Terrorist Group in Syria and then left that same rebranded group enormous advanced weaponry in Afghanistan. For all I know, we could be heading into a war with Russia cause Zelensky has dirt on Biden and other politicians about bribes they took from Ukrainian business.

Even if NATO is telling the truth, I and about 60% of Americans will vehemently, aggressively, and possibly violently oppose a war with the Russians over Ukraine, and demonstrate against intervention if Biden leads us into a conflict. I have no appetite for a war, particularly one where our President is a vegetable that is completely unable to manage his personal and radical base of Fascists. I do not trust, and I will never trust him of his party. They are trying to take away our God-Given Right to Self Defense by taking away our guns. That's why they got concentration camps in China and Australia. So hell no. Yeah, they are civilians that were practicing tactical moves. Nobody wants someone to get hurt by an accident. All those people who attended did get to practice shooting from real weapons. Just because that girl in the picture was carrying a wooden representation of the real weapon doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to load the real thing and how to shoot from it.
