No need to. Anyone who heard the original phone call, (which, to her knowledge, was just a citizen calling the hotline), realizes how polite and prosfessional she is. She has job offers POURING IN...meanwhile, the person who OVERSAW THIS DEBACLE, Sebellius, remains unaccaontable.

You're kidding right? No reason to fire her?

The product she was put in charge of died at launch....isn't that reason enough? No partisanship right vs left stuff included...her product failed. You think she should stay employed? So...failure is an acceptable outcome?

Have we really gone that far down the rabbit hole where this "everyone gets a trophy" mentality now includes people getting a pass when they are unable to deliver what their job hired, and paid them to deliver?

I think this call center employee being fired is what it is,she should have stopped talking the moment she realized who Hannity was, and she DID realize and kept right on talking.

But, it IS ridiculous that our government doesn't have a policy of firing people when a massive program they oversee comes in at DOUBLE (or more) the projected price and still doesn't work.

At my shop we give estimates before we do any work. If one of my technicians figured an estimate of oh say $400 to fix someone's car and then at the end handed them a bill for $800, I'd fire that tech, no questions asked.

Of course if I ran my company the way the government runs, I'd be in jail so I suppose that is an unfair comparison.

Imagine if after the 800 dollars the guys car still failed to start...that's what we've got here. Total incompetance, and no accountability.

    OF course there isn't.

If I give someone a price of $400 and without again talking to the customer I raise the bill to $800, guess who pays that difference? I do. Believe me, we're careful to give estimates ever step of the way and that doesn't happen often.

I just wonder at what point this attitude in government comes into play? They all just pretend like it's monopoly money and so no big deal if a few hundred million gets wasted.

Now, I understand, cost over runs happen, but the government should have a strict policy. If they agree to a price with a contractor, anything over 20% beyond that price is contractor's problem. Otherwise there is exactly ZERO incentive to maintain budget.

Here's another comparison. When I hire tire guys, they are informed of our policy about tire pressure monitors, if they break them. The policy is this, I will buy the first one they break, they will buy the next two, and if they break a fourth they are fired. Broken TPMS sensor are just part of installing tires, it happens, but it happens even more if you have zero incentive to be careful.

I thought she handled the pushy Hannity quite well.

She freely stated that she had a "script" to follow, and detailed what it said.

Erling clearly didn't realize that she was in charge of Classified Data, from the most transparent administration in history.

Where's Tim Robbins drama-queeening about "a chill wind blowing from the White House", now?

He's laughing at exposing the ridiculousness of the fact that this innocent, effective employee was FIRED for answering the very questions she was paid to,and the overseer of this entire, mutli-billion dollar boondoggle, remains employed.

If you wish to delude that this equals embarassment for Hannity, go ahead.

    Now...start the juvenile silly posts.

An Obamacare phone operator who had a conversation with Fox News host Sean Hannity lost her job on Thursday.

On Monday, the “Hannity” host called up the Affordable Care Act phone number provided by the federal government. Eventually, he was connected with Erling Davis, a phone operator working for a private contract company .

Hannity quizzed Davis about technical issues facing the government healthcare website and engaged in some small talk during their 10-minute conversation.

However, on Thursday Davis revealed that she was fired by her employer over the conversation. For his part, Hannity told listeners of his radio show that he will compensate Davis for a year’s salary tax free and try to help her find a new job. In total, Hannity reportedly gave Davis $26,000. He also posted information on his website where viewers could reach out with job offers and other assistance.

“They fired me from my job,” Davis told Hannity while being interviewed on his radio program.

A transcribed exchange between Davis and Hannity reads as follows:

Davis: “So, the next day I came back and they had, like, two people escort me upstairs to HR. And then it was three head people and me, we sat down, and so I’m like, ‘Why am I up here?’ I figured, OK, they want to talk about the phone call incident.”

Hannity: “I’m very sorry that you had to go through that. I don’t want you to have to pay a price just for taking our call. So I want to help you out here.”

Davis: “I remember her saying, ‘We can’t have this type of stuff going on here, so we have to release you.' They said that no contact with the media. No type of media whatsoever. We’re not allowed to do that at that company.”

Hannity: “It’s not your fault I called."

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's not Hannity who is embarassed....to any sentient being.

We see you've been reduced to the childishness of your Standard Default Post already.

Because that changes the outrage of Ms.Davis being fired for being professional and honest.
    Funny.

I was told to go GS (11-13) when I got out of the military for good $ and a secure job.

Now, many years later I know why---where else can someone screw up royally and not get fired or even demoted?!

The Govt is a pyramidal 'good ol boy' scam that is fleecing the American tax payer!
