If Trump had won, the majority of Americans would know they hadn't been disenfranchised and that it was an honest election. But in the inner cities like Philadelphia, there would have been a lot of violence and anarchy - and maybe leading up to a civil war.

Let's not forget that from the time Trump entered office he was attacked incessantly with lies so he wouldn't be able clean the swamp as he promised. The biggest lie of course was the Russiagate one that ran for 4 years. Yet the truth about Biden's son Hunter and his connections with China, not to mention Ukraine was kept hidden from the public before the election even though it included Biden himself.

Funny how criminal minded people always protect one another, and how much they despise integrity.

I haven't been on the Kremlin lately, because they're just repeating the lies of the MSM on the election - which translates into either they don't give a damn or they don't want to get implicated in any way. I read that China and Russia's navies are on full alert.

Then again it could be something like Fort Russ. This is part of what they wrote 2 weeks ago:

    Dear Fort Russ News Readers,

This will serve to explain our recent, temporary, cessation of publication.

The United States is, at the present moment, the subject of a massive psychological operation right now. This appears to be a form of irregular warfare involving elements of its own security and other governmental agencies, which are posed against themselves.

This all relates to the pending outcome of the Presidential election process presently underway in the US.

For reasons that we are not in the position to disclose, we have determined that we are not in the position to publish news and analysis for a short period of time, which began one week ago.

This I guess would be called a preliminary hearing, Sure, we need politicians and a media with the courage to actually set up what you described.

The witnesses who have signed affidavits have been testifying in front of the State legislatures - even at the risk of their livelihood and welfare. They can't testify at court though because the judges refuse to take the cases.

According to a speaker on C-Span, the Supreme Court refused to take the case because Chief Justice Roberts was afraid of riots. Is that though the real reason? According to the Attorney Lynn Wood, it was because he had been compromised by Epstein when he went on his jet, and Lynn want's him to resign.

Anyway this is just hearsay and needs further investigating.

The lawyers have thousands of witnesses with signed affidavits and who are willing to testify. Many of them did testify in front of their State Legislators. The hearings have been broadcast on some sites, but censored on Youtube naturally.

Access to voting should be made as easy as possible for all citizens to participate, otherwise you really do not have democracy if you are deliberately discouraging or impeding voter participation.

    What about security.

Why is voter ID so terrible?

How about same day registration & voting?

And ballot harvesters too as in California.

BTW I  my ability to vote by mail in California.
If you skip too many years, y'gotta register again

Strange as it might seem........ Trump deserved a LOT of the criticism he got and gets. His negativity, rage tweets , cruelty, biases , impulsive conduct and firings and unprofessional judgement is the cause for all the criticism he got . His behavior now is anything but presidential, mature or responsible. He has no credibility as a person or as POTUS. He is not mentally healthy. It is amazing how folks will rationalize his irrational behavior. Or maybe they are not able to identify abnormal behavior and accept his craziness as "just him" or as being eccentric. His mismanagement of the Pandemic is virtually criminal He will carry this failure as the most devastating aspect of his presidency. And the R party is no longer a party of values. It is now about money and power only. But then money and power are very seductive.

Since you felt this particular Senate hearing notable, I have taken some hours out of my evening to listen to the hearing / read the transcript, and attempt to investigate any particularized claims of malfeasance. It is already quite late my time, and I should have eaten dinner hours ago. Regrettably, I have only managed to get through Troupis' opening statements, but it is too late to continue on tonight.

Since these posts will be quite large, I will be using a separate post for each particular claim. You can find the full transcript here:

    https://www.rev.com/blog/transcript...estimony-on-2020-election-security-transcript

    And full hearing here:

It takes a while before any specific allegation is made, but they start with James Troupis. You just skip to his testimony in the transcript, or about 38 minutes into video. Troupis served as a laywer in the Wisconsin recount case that was recently rejected by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. I am having trouble finding a source with all of the court documents, but you can find some of them at the below sources:

    1) Troupis Claim #1: Incomplete / Altered Certificates

This appears in the complaint (page 24)

Complaint shows the law is clear that the address is mandatory and provides a remedy for a missing address - which is sending the absentee ballot back to be cured. Complaint notes WEC (Wisconsin Elections Commission) provided advice to clerks they could alter the ballot certification envelopes to provide the missing witness address information.

Response to this complaint notes the guidance was issued in 2016 (page 11, paragraph 38 ):

The Wisconsin Supreme Court rejected this complaint (page 12, paragraph 18 )

Troupis' language in the hearing does not mention this has anything to do with addresses, let alone specifically witness addresses. Instead he paints a more sordid picture of election workers willfully ignoring the law and jeopardizing security. The fact that this was an established practice for years taking place in multiple elections before this one means that the Wisconsin legislature had ample time to put an end to the practice if they felt it should end. Likewise, the Trump Campaign could have raised an issue with this practice before the election. That election workers followed guidance they were given for years should come as no surprise.

While Troupis probably has an argument that it is not to the explicit letter of the law, it is nevertheless something that would have to be resolved in the next election if the state legislature wishes to clarify that this practice will not be allowed. Nullifying the votes this cycle when they were allowed under the exact same guidelines in 2016, and 2018, and the primaries for each 2018 and 2020 goes beyond a last minute rule change. This is a request for a rule change in overtime.

    2) Troupis Claim #2: Missing Clerk Initials

I have searched the complaint, but cannot find this argued. I cannot find it referenced in the final ruling, nor responded to. I must conclude this was never actually argued in court - at least not in this case. Possibly it was brought up in some other case.

The claim is essentially that clerks made mistakes, therefore the votes should be thrown out. That is pretty much the definition of disenfranchisement. Somebody mishandled their ballot down the line, so through no fault of the voter, they lose their right to vote. The solution for this sort of problem should be better training and potentially disciplinary action taken against clerks who fail to do their job correctly. This is not an claim about fraud, it is about finding some i that weren't dotted and using that as an excuse to throw away people's votes through no fault of the voter.

Processes in place should be followed. But voters who have no control over whether or not those processes are followed should not be unfairly penalized by having their votes cast aside. Investigating individuals who are not following the correct process would be the correct remedy, although understandably outside of Troupis' job.

    3) Troupis Claim #3: City of Madison's Democracy in the Park program was illegal

This appears in the complaint on page 33

It is addressed in the response on page 17, paragraph 68

It's a long section, so I'm not going to quote the whole thing. Basically in WI you can either mail in your absentee ballot, or you can choose to go to the clerk's office, apply for, receive, fill out, and deliver your ballot in the office. Or you can do some combination (go to office to apply / mail it, request by mail / return it to the office). So the parks were essentially set up to serve as an alternative location to the Clerk's office, as there were worries about delays in the postal service at the time.

The ruling by the Wisconsin Supreme Court touches on this in page 12, paragraph 20

Troupis' description of the event is accurate. If anything, hand delivering your absentee ballots sounds like it would be more secure than mailing it - no more of those presumptions that someone could get into your mailbox, or problems with the mailman or postal workers being an issue. I don't particularly see a problem with the process in practice.

While a more recent change than the complaint about witness address correction, if the Trump Campaign had a problem with it, they should have challenged it before the election. It is, again, an example of trying to disenfranchise voters through no fault of the voters. Voters were clearly under the impression their votes would be counted. Legal issues with announced policy of how elections will be carried out must be addressed before the election. Otherwise, you are harming voters who are relying on that information to make decisions about how to vote.

    4) Troupis Claim #4: Drop Boxes were illegal

It is not argued in the complaint, nor responded to or ruled on. Some minor mention of drop boxes are described in the response though (page 19, paragraph 81)

I am able to find a different case where an attempt to set aside any ballots that were delivered through a drop box was brought up: https://healthyelections-case-tracker.stanford.edu/detail?id=405

As with the previous claim, such issues really need to be argued before an election. I am unaware of specific lawsuits brought against the usage of drop boxes in Wisconsin before the election.

As with all previous claims thus far, no particular complaint about fraud.

You sure did your homework. I commend you. From what I listened to on the news from which commentator, Senator (I don't remember) Judges in almost every case threw out each case due to procedural miss steps. Evidence has not even been examined. We need open hearings and evidence needs to be examined. It is my hunch voting machines need to be examined. The one in Northern Michigan was found to hold out 60% of ballots when the law allows for something far less. Those votes are re tabulated, and that is where the suspicion comes in.

    5) Troupis Claim #5: Covid-19 excuse does not qualify for Indefinitely Confined

It is argued in the complaint beginning on page 28

I won't quote the whole section - you are welcome to read it for yourself. It is essentially an argument that those who used fear of COVID-19 as an excuse should not have been excused to vote absentee according to the law.

The response to the complaint starts on page 13, paragraph 48

Again, it's a long section to quote in full. You are welcome to read it yourself. Essentially, the GOP sued, the Wisconsin Supreme Court upheld the guidance. No further guidance or court decisions were made regarding it until Nov 3rd, so that's the guidance that was relied upon.

And the opinion from the Trump v Biden case starts on page 4, paragraph 7

While unclear from his direct statements, the physical copy of the complaint and response by the Wisconsin Supreme Court makes it clear that the 28K+ individuals Troupis identified were not all specifically investigated by the campaign and found to have been fraudulently claiming indefinite confinement. Rather, these are simply the list of the people claiming that from the two counties that were recounted since the WEC guidance was issued.

So this is at a minimum a misleading statement by Troupis as he directly follows an anecdotal evidence of an individual who specifically took advantage of this rule, by then claiming they identified 28K+ such individuals. Nevertheless, it remains not an accusation of fraud, but an accusation that this rule is being taken advantage of by people it's not meant for. That is probably accurate.

    6) Troupis Claim #6: 170K Absentee Ballots were not submitted with an application

This is in the complaint on page 15

And the response on page 26. This is shorter, involves the most ballots, so I'll quote it in full

You can find this ruling starting on page 10, paragraph 14

Note that even the dissent (pages 46-47 of the pdf, or 13-14 of the dissent) also does not dispute that the application was valid:

This last claim, which encompasses by far the most votes, again alleges no fraud. They are claiming that the application form, which has been used for over a decade now, is not an application form. Of all the claims Troupis offers in his opening statements, this one is completely meritless.

And, that's it for tonight. Time for dinner and sleep.

I forgot to show up for jury duty and called up to the court house. They said I was fine and not to worry about it.

Congressional hearings are basically political theater. No witnesses required. I admit that they are entertaining to watch but I certainly don't take them seriously.
