How many tens of thousands innocent Muslims did you relieve of their liberty to live another day in your illegal, inept and utterly pointless invasion of Iraq? Here, allow me...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iraq_War

And you do? Islam is interpreted by man just as the Bible has been interpreted by man. Interpretations do not reflect how the religous boods state extremism or not. For instance, the 4th Chapter in the Koran speaks that Jews and Christians are to be treated as brothers and sisters. Jesus is also spoken more often than the New Testament. Islam also states, just as the Bible, to give money to the poor.

The point is there are extremists in every religionwith some violent. The KKK and white supremicists use the Bible to justify their actions. There are terrortist groups, such as the Army of God, who use the Bible to justify their actions. Sjeffe is right that you must look at the actions and ignore, generally, religous beliefs.

FYI, most of my learning has come from friends who happen to be professors of religion in seminaries.

A literal interpretation does. And here we are talking about the Muslim Brotherhoods interpretation.

Many, minus your characterization of the war. Anything relevant to the topic of discussion?

No. You're not important enough for that. I'll just assume you got something wrong again and are misinterpreting. Nobody I support is a liar, so I need do nothing at all here.

You have already established from your posts that you don't even know who the Muslim Brotherhood (in America) is, let alone be qualified to present judgements about them. We need to fear Islamist Muslims, not Christians. If you had a clue about this issue, you'd know that. If you took the Islamization Quiz, you'd probably get a ZERO on it just like most of the Islamapologists here who have.

But your arithmetic isn't getting better. And if you want to show off your ignorance about Population Geography (a subject I once taught in college), you can do that. No law against making a fool out of yourself.

Islam is a political entity. The religious aspect is simply a cloak designed to shield them from criticism.

The terrorist attacks on 9/11 were tragic but they were a criminal act that did not violate the Rights of the American People. As with all criminal acts the Rights of the individuals affected are violated but that is not an attack on the inalienable Rights of the American People. The attack on the Rights of the American People occurred after the 9/11 attacks and they were committed by the US govenrment. The Patriot Act was and is an attack on our inalienable Rights. The TSA and Homeland Security are an infringement upon our individual Rights of Liberty as a People.

In addition to the attacks on the Rights of the America People the US government also attacked the Rights of the People of Afghanistan and Iraq neither of which were involved in any way related to the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Over 7,000 members of the US military have lost their lives and between 100,000 and 1 million innocent Iraqis and Afghanis have also lost their lives because of the tyrannical military actions of the US government.

There is also a gross misrepresentation because a "child" cannot be aborted. Abortions address either a zygote, embryo or fetus and none of those are children. Childhood, as well as personhood, is extablished at birth and only "persons" have Rights that can be violated. In its review of abortion the US Supreme Court reviewed all of history and was unable to find any society that considered a fetus a person. In that same decision the US Supreme Court did afford limited protections to a fetus as a "potential person" based upon the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment. The laws infringing upon the inalienable Rights of a Woman, that is a person, is a far greater threat to the inalienable Rights of the Individual than any terrorist attack that could be imaginable. Even a nuclear terrorist attack does not infringe upon the Right of the American People although it is unquestionably the most extreme criminal act I can imagine.

Of note in 2003 almost 12,000 late term abortions were performed in the United States where the life or health of the woman was in serious medical jeopardy. If we assumed that those abortions would have been prevented, which many extremist Christians advocate, and that roughly just 1/2 of those women would have died from their pregnancy then that is double the number of individuals killed by terrorist on 9/11. Those "Christians" would be responsible for the murder of twice as many Americans than the terrorists on 9/11. And that wouldn't be limited to just one year but would be happening year after year after year.

    1. Islamization has been occuring outside of the legal system (mostly), although Islamist are trying to get Islamist laws passed.

    2. The first amendment is irrelevant to Islam, since it is not a religion. The only connection would be to say that Islam completely violates the first amendment by its repression of free speech, press and religion. (in addition to being UNConstitutional by the Supremacy Clause, and in violation of the Sedition law)

    3. The population of Muslims isn't really relevant either. Muslims have already destroyed our liberty in quite a variety of ways (you need to do more reading), for 21 years now, without a large population. They do it with a combination of 3 things >>> MONEY, political influence, and lawsuits (and the threat of them), often with help from the ACLU.
If you had done your "homework" on Islamization, you'd already know these simple, basic facts.

So you "selected" to omit the 270 million people killed by marauding Muslims all over the world for 1400 years ? If you wish to challenge that, as some stupid Islampologists sometimes do, we can go into a 1400 year history lesson of all the Muslim invasions and conquests, complete with video, and all the bloody, gory details of their barbaric madness. I'll leave it up to you.

As for Iraq, there actually could be a good reason for securing Iraq, to keep it (and the largest unproven oil reserves in the world) from falling into the hands of the Iranians, as well as an al Qaeda control (remember al Zarqawi ?) For that matter, the Iraqis are better off being relieved of Saddam Hussein and all his brutality, and for still another matter, there is the matter of the UN NO-FLY ZONES that SH violated dozens of times, for years. Like the Crusades, the criticism might be > What took you so long ?

FALSE! The "Interpretation" card is well-known by protectionists, just like the Invalidation card, "Out of Context" and a few other talking points, commonly used by Islamapologists. Ho hum. What else is new ?

    2. Islam is not a religion.

    3. With Isalm you cannot ignore the Koran. It is the source of 1400 years of Muslim madness around the world, and it still is every bit the source. Another very typical lamebrain talking point (which never ceases) from Islamapologists is that the ideology (Islam) isn't to blame. It is just some extremist individuals. FALSE! The extremism is in the Koran.
The terrorists aren't 1400 years old. They didn't create the Koran. The Koran created them.

I agree, being the "America" (the United States) is a place were decency has never existed but in tiny pockets. As example I give you The Mennonites, The Amish, many Hasidim Jewish communities, The NOI and even many other lesser known small pockets of decent communities. You are correct, nothing of decency belongs in "America" which is why those who seek to live according to righteous principles find it necessary for us to separate from the overall society.

I have to disagree Alwayssa with you stating that Islam is interpreted by Man. Man interprets nothing, it is mankind who interprets, but overall I agree with the premise of your post.

By your description of the Patriot Act as an attack on our inalienable Rights. And the TSA and Homeland Security an infringement upon our individual Rights of Liberty as a People, I get the feeling you are in the extremist fringe of thought on rights in general.

I wouldn't be surprised if you were to come out and say that the laws against assault & battery are "infringement" on our individual rights to beat up whomever we might want to. Doggone that oppressive government, taking away our "rights" to go out and kill whomever we choose to. Imagine that! And they even have the audacity to take the "right" to light fires away from all the arsonists. The nerve of them.

    Make it simple, P.

What is your primary worry here, internally?

That the US is about to fall under Sharia Law?

I'm talking about Islamist thugs like those that rule Iran. The world will be a better place without them. Are you having a hard time distinguishing between good and evil?
