    A few years ago a member of this forum put a photo of President Obama into a target for a bullet. Forum right wingers had no problem with that - in fact I complained to the admin several times over the course of several months before it was removed. Knowing the double standards of these right wingers, I will suppose that they will object to this unfortunate comment that she made. Too bad they didn't when this was done to Obama.

    I will take a consistent position and object to both circumstances. Indeed, ours would be a better society if all disagreements were settled amicably without animosities or threats to anyone.

    They should probably take into account the actual risk of a particular individual committing the crime. Unless this old lady has a criminal history (which she might who knows) how is this different than multiple times I have heard people say they wished Trump would drop dead or that they wanted to kill him for this or that reason. People spout off all the time.

    That being said if I was the Secret Service better safe than sorry so I can't blame them to much just wish they would be smarter about it.

    Trump was clearly referring to pro-second amendment voters voting for him, not literally calling for her assassination. I loved that talking point during the campaign BTW. It was hilarious to think that someone running for POTUS would want his opponent assassinated.

    now I do not think either Trump or her were really calling for an assassination, but both were joking about such which is dangerous imo

    look what happened with PizzaGate..... lot of crazy people out there
