People lost their lives for the freedom. Men yes white men and women and young white boys also. Mothers lost all their kids. Blood for blood. I would say it's even

I've been fortunate, seldom encountered any racism at all. The worst was just someone writing "*****" on my dorm door. And then others helped me find him by studying the handwriting!

Really that was so minor, I'd never mention it as that I've experienced racism.

What is a Pepper Belly? As an ignorant southern white, I've never even heard of that term before so I've never had a chance to taunt someone with it.

 

In the old days it was one of the alternatives used when calling someone brown-skinned a "Wetback" (meaning they swam across the Rio Grande River) got boring. Pepper belly for the 'fact' that supposedly all Hispanics just adore super spicy foods.
