I like to run more than I have been running this summer.
I'm blessed with being in a hilly country... And..
I live in the valley of London's highest point of elevation/Crystal Palace.
I've purposely on occasion have ran specific runs to include this region's highest point of elevation (because I can).
I like to run, and my runkeeper app makes running fun.
My running hall of fame; as it were..
    I ran from here to Benjamin Franklin's house and included key points;
I remember I want to included London's highest point of elevation as I was going that way, then I ventured out aiming for a park Dulwich way called Bel-Air park, (got lost past Gypsie Hill) found myself back on track and managed to go down Atlantic Road and Electric Avenue (Benjamin Franklin was a great advocate of this electricity) so I went via all of those to do a run I always thought about. (From mine to Benjamin Franklin's House)...
I thought July 4th/Independence Day, what better excuse?
So I celebrated it like that that year, by running from my house to his/Benjamin Franklin's.
from mine to benjain franklins house.png
    IMG_0742.PNG
    IMG_0743.PNG (Because I could).

I ran in Amsterdam to test my app, got lost, had fun, saw more of the city, glad I did. - I felt so accomplished when I found my way to my destination without stopping the run.
    Got back to England and months later I found out I ran through this park/where they filmed this;

    (here's that run with elevation)
    amsterdamrun.png

I once also ran from here to what would become where my company is now ..
    IMG_0740.jpg

    I really do like running..
    and guitar.

    (me on guitar).

This run seemed shorter in my head before I set off..

    **wanted to include...
Gosh, with so much editing going on there, I missed this typo 'want to included' before it was too late.
    Honest typo...
    I did well in school.

Nice running ap. Tells you everything about where you were and your time and distance.

My running is much simpler and low tech.

I simply sing as I run, and always the same USMC boot camp songs.

I only beat up on people for obvious major mistakes, like a singular subject with a plural verb, and so forth.

I tell a lie, I have been known to (sometimes) (on occasion) say 'I'm a vampire!' as I run (sometimes)...

    Like this;

    'I'm a vampire!'
    'I'm a vampire!'
    'I'm a vampire!'
    'I'm a vampire!'...

    (Whatever works though, right)?..

As long as you are active and not obese a balanced diet is probably the way to go. The Ferriss diet, which is heavy on protein and fat, could induce gout.
I used to ignore the extra fat in sauces and meat. Now I go to a lot of trouble to separate it out.

Beans seem to eliminate the desire for a lot of protein and fat. No gout so far, but I can see that it might become an issue.

    I was a jogger for about 10 years.I did it wrong { almost everything }
    until I read Jim Fix's book - Running -.
There are so many things involved in being good at running or
jogging. What you wear.Do not wear sweats.Your body has to breath.
Never wear tennis shoes or Boots like the Military iniststed on years ago.
    You'll get shin splints.Never have a meal and then go jogging.Just a
watered down- soda but mainly water.
Always start out slow until your body is warmed-up and
    the blood vessels are working.
    I had 2 separate years where I jogged over a 1,ooo miles.
I charted all my runs { whether my normal route which was 3.2 miles
or my other routes which were longer { 5- 7 miles }.
On my day off from work I tried to run for an hour straight.Take one
day off a week so as to heal.If you never take a day off yer asking for
    injury.

I used to take pride in spotting a novice jogger.
I could tell instantly if they haven't a clue about jogging or running.
If they wear sweats and act like - Rocky - and seem to be going
fast then stop ... Right there. If they jerk while jogging.
The best runners move like Gazelle. No arm jerking at all.
Very fluid and graceful.Jerking one's arms like a Boxer out
training will cause one to wear out.
Also Heel to toe. That is a must.never land on yer toes.
I'm reminded of the great female marathoner Grete Waitz,
the epitome of how to do it right.Graceful and seemingly just
floating on air.No excess body movements.Just what is needed to keep
an even flow.THE most New York city Marathon wins.A Gold and a
Silver.First woman in history to run a marathon under 2 and a half hours.

I used to use a Walkman back in the day.

But now it is just too dangerous to run without the sense of hearing to alert you to attackers.

So I use my eyes and ears to warn me about approaching criminals.

    And I sing.

You can get goat meat in Mexico. It tastes really musky but they use a spicy pepper sauce to mask it.

You can hunt goats on the Big Island of Hawaii but bring your own archery gear. No guns allowed.

Chickens originally came from India. These grouse are some of the tastiest meats you can eat. The fat in their skins is some of the worst high cholesterol food you can eat, as bad as chocolate.

I have a big piece of chicken breast meat in my fridge right now that I will use for fresh chicken noodle vegie soup for dinner tonight. It is left over from my chicken dinner yesterday. I usually bake and eat the legs and thighs and backs right away then save the breasts for soup the next day.

You would love my fresh chicken noodle vegie soup @Smartmouthwoman .

I only wear sweats @ the gym (it's a requirement)...
I run in Levi's 511s and... I've also owned leather trousers and, I'd be lying if I said I haven't run in leather trousers. Plus I've been meaning to buy myself another pair of leather trousers.
I run in trainers usually (https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=n...1PzUAhXLIcAKHZL5DCEQ_AUICygC&biw=1280&bih=590).

    I read in Runner's Magazine UK; They've identified 3 distinct running surfaces;
    • Treadmill
    • Gravel/pavement/sidewalk
    • Natural (grass, dirt, sand).
and it's important for leg muscle health to mix this up, so your body doesn't get too used to just one and cramp up...

I must admit, I haven't got a lot of the last one, but I do run on pavement and treadmill, mostly.
If I find patches of grass along my way, like small patches of grass mostly to separate the pavement from the road, just small sections of grass mostly, I have been known to grab the opportunity to get some natural running surfaces in, as far as running on a natural surface goes.

Running surface is important and that is why when one decides to be
a jogger they need to buy the best Running Shoes they can afford.I once
counted all my running shoes.I think I went thru around 8 or 9.
That was in 10 years.Do Not skimp on running shoes.
Yes,I wore old cotton T-shirts and Tennis shorts.I never really liked
the material most jogging outfits are made from.A good all weather windbreaker
is necessary in cold weather.I once got up on a very sunny winter morn
and did my run.I wore my tennis shorts. My legs were kinda pinkish when I
got done.On the way to work I read the time and the temperature.
It was like 12 degrees. But No wind.

    I completely agree.

My jogging shoes are the most expensive shoes I own. Mine are New Balance and I buy them from their store in town. Even more expensive than my Western boots.

Don't forget a hat. Baseball caps are fine but boonie hats are best. A kitchen towel over your head and under the hat keeps the sun off your neck too. BOONIE HAT.jpg

I have cut-off Levi's that I wear for mountain biking.

    And a cut-off sweatshirt too.

That way if I take a spill the heavy "duck cloth" will protect me.

I also wear gloves for biking, and a SWAT helmet painted flame orange, and sunglasses.

    Here are the steps.

First you trim the cold baked chicken meat off the bone. Get rid of the skin too.

Next you gather the other ingredients. For my chicken vegie noodle soup I use frozen vegies, uncooked flat noodles (some people must call this pasta or they don't feel cool), 3 cans of Campbells concentrated chicken broth (enough to cover everything else), sea salt, ground black pepper, and some kind of Italian seasoning for soup.

Third you combine them in the boiling pot. Make sure your broth covers everything.

Fourth you bring this mixture rapidly to a boil stirring occasionally over high heat.

Fifth you lower the heat and simmer it for 10 minutes.

Finally you ladle the soup into bowls and pour the white wine.

My view on salt is that you need about an aspirin sized amount of salt per meal. So I add that much sea salt per serving.

My view on pepper is add pepper to taste. Usually a lite dusting is fine.

My view on seasoning herbs is that you just need to dust this over the mix lightly until you can taste it in the soup.

My view on wine is that every evening meal should have a glass of wine. White wine goes well with chicken, turkey, pork, veal, fish, and seafood. Red wine goes good with beef, lamb, and other dark meats.

For white wine I like Pinot Gregio.

For red wine I like fruity Sangria.

Both of these wines are served cold.
