    They are looking for it to strengthen as it moves into the gulf it was a tropical depression in Mexico it is now a tropical storm. When it gets into the warm waters of the gulf it could turn into a hurricane.

    I hope your pup is doing better and you didn't have to wait too long. I hate to see or hear of an animal in pain.

    Ny border collie tries to herd the heeler and when she won't herd just right he picks up a stick in his mouth and chases her. It is hilarious to see. They get along ok it is sometimes the breed comes out and they want to do their work.

    In Panama City it looks really good considering how it looked after the storm. If you hadn't seen it before the storm it would look completely normal. there are a few spots where people still have blue tarps on their roofs. Some of the forests are still looking bare in spots some of them have been cleared and replanted. Considering how things looked after Michael I would say everything is really looking good. There are the occasional houses that have been abandoned the people might not have had insurance or not interested in fixing them up.

    Did they change the building codes so when they rebuilt, they built buildings that were designed to hopefully withstand major hurricanes?

    Well then will your personality allow argumentation over anything.?
    For context I am sure Miss Smartmouthwoman dint conjure
    up that Id out of wanting to be a cloistered Nun.Where they are
    not permitted to speak.Miss Smarty definitely was not shy about
    having a good argument.Whether it be another poster { say at Yahoo
    or AllForums } or just average complaining.
    Or is complaining also not allowed in yer book of rules.
    Doesn't really leave time for anything else but to sit in a rockin'
    chair and twiddle ones thumbs.

    Smartie is a cloistered nun who likes a good argument but cant speak?
    Are we talking about some other Smartie?

    I dont have a book of rules. I dont need one and aside from that, I never seem to have a pen handy. I have mastered the mind switch from focused to white noise. Im so good at it now, I can actually not listen while Im nodding and smiling.

    I wonder if the Girl Scouts had them a code.

    'Evenin, folks. Adventures at the vet turned out good. Maggie had an infected nail (actually a dew claw), so they fixed that and put her on antibiotics. She also got her rabies and all that annual stuff, plus flea control, so she's good to go. She acts like a different dog... no more whining! Bless her little heart, she was in a lot of pain. At the vets, they came out and brought your paperwork, then took your dog. You had to sit in the car & wait!

    Oh well, it is 2010. Everything is a little strange.

    Dr gave me the green light to go back to work Monday with no restrictions. I feel normal.

    An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Especially when you are talking about people's lives and homes.
    Years ago when I was new to the inlaw family, we went down to Florida to check out some retirement areas for my mil. The family was going to buy it and she would stay there for a few months in the winter and they would visit. We went to a place that was close to the shore and near some inlet type area. My first yankee thought was, if a hurricane hits this area this place will be a sinking houseboat. I asked the real estate woman, what happens if a hurricane hits this area? She said something like, we dont like to think about things like that and then quick changed the subject. She was probably thinking, look at this damn yankee tanking my sales pitch lol.
