I took one of the telescopes out - just wanted to have a look at Mars.
No, I didn't see much. Mars is famous for not being able to see surface detail. That's why people imagined that they saw canals.
Jupiter and Saturn were hidden behind a neighbor's house, so I couldn't see them.

I don't know how many telescopes I have. I'd like to get rid of about five of them. My problem is that they're antiques. Because of that, I can't just throw them out. But, it costs more to ship them, to give them away, than they're worth. I expect that I'll be stuck with giving them to Goodwill.

Maybe a local school or library would love to have one. My stepdad used to pick up lost golf balls while taking his daily evening walk. He donated them to a local HS who were always grateful for the kids on their golf team. :)

Good morning y'all. Actually have a busy day today! How about a bloody Mary to kick things off?

A science museum might want them, and be able to give you a higher valuation for tax purposes than Goodwill.
Ebay can work. There may be such a thing as a telescope collector.

Schools might be interested..do they have schools open where you live? I know schools here are in full swing just like normal. For that matter so are restaurants and bars. It is your choice to go or stay at home. I prefer to stay home till everything calms down.

I don't believe that Hot Wheels are the most famous toy car, or the number one boy's toy in the world.

If anyone wants a dog and you are wondering what breed....get a border collie. They are without a doubt the smartest dog in the world. They are a bit rough if you get them as puppies but then most puppies are. What is neat about tthe border collie is the fact that you don't have to be so repetitive when you are training them. Show them a couple of times and they are good to go. Our border collie likes to see us at all times and he will position himself so he can watch all the comings and goings in the house. He is 100% more cognitive than at least one of the newly elected politicians and he is honest to a fault.

My boys always like the matchbox cars. I did buy them some hot wheels ever so often. They had more matchbox cars a little more pocketbook friendly.

Today is Thurwed. Or is it Tuefris? So confusing.

Tomorrow is my day off... except for a bone density test.

    What fun!

    Certainly not my favorite.
Cher might be able to ID the number one boy toy with some credibility.

You managed to keep your sense of humor. If that keeps up you will be a good candidate or comrade.
Ahhh FDA finally approved you are safe. Does that mean you can go maskless?

No masks - pre CCP virus.
Will probably be even cheaper during the real clearance sales this January.

Check with local Universities or museums. Even if you 'donate' them, you get to write off their value somewhere on these new income tax forms, 'between what did you make' and 'send it in'.

    Hi.
My wife and I were supposed to come to the states this year, but Covid scuppered that. So we want to come in 2021. Our plan is a few days in NY then fly to Portland and explore Mt Ranier national park the islands etc.
    So.
    1,Should we come ?
2, Can we drive to Niagara from NY or is that crazy
3, What would you recommend we see.

We have been to the states once before. We did Vegas, San Francisco and Yosemite.
We found the Americans we met there were about the nicest people we had ever met. You couldn't get out of the car without someone asking if you needed help. Wonderful people.

    Thank you in advance.
