    Well it did get down to 17 below the other day and 12 below the following day. It is now hovering around the zero mark. Not to worry about me freezing anything important off. I learned a long time ago to protect myself. That soup does sound good though.

    It was in the low 50's here today, and is supposed to get up to the mid-60's tomorrow and for the next five days.

    Harrisburg is calling for mid-40's, with lows around freezing for the next five days. Rain on Tuesday, but I won't be there - I'll be heading back down South.

    Morning all. Not to bad here this morning it is only 6 below zero. That is aboout normal for this time of year here in Jackson. But they say that it wont last but it will be getting warmer again. This has been a really weird winter so far. So how about a fruit plate this morning. Hae a great day all.

    That's a mighty fine offering today, sure to keep us healthy during the winter months.
    Now, as to the temp, you can have it. That's just nuts. Do you guys have super insulated homes? What about the pipes and such? And does your breath freeze in front of your face? Why do you stay there, please tell?
    Do you need extra mittens and socks? I'll knit you a scarf too. Let me know.

    Why do people take advantage of others kindness to the point the kind people want to beat the living hell out of them? Which of course the kind people would never ever do. Answer..because most people suck! They are in a "me" world sucking the life out of the "us" people.

    I detest "me" people!

    Its about right and wrong, caring, giving and being real. Real to the point that those "me" people cant stand the "us" people's brutal honesty and are ashamed of the way they act and think. Will they change? Probably not they move on to find more "us" people to push to the limit or they group with "me" people and try and out "me" them.

    Here is the new flute project. I made several mistakes on the first one. A few of which I am aware but not comfortable enough to say I completely know what I did wrong.

    This is the hand carved tube part of a new flute. I'm carving this and not using a router. I wanna do the first few old school and to be honest I probably will hand carve a lot more down the line. This one is pine because I had a piece of straight grained pine that I sliced in two.
    If I cant get this one to work..lol..the next one will be out of red cedar.

    Because I am also into instant gratification...I made a small pipe out of mulberry. lol

    Well let's see. No our homes are not super insulated. But they are well insulated. Pipes have heat tapes on them to help keep from freezing. Well one year when it got down to 36 below zero I was outside and I started to talk to my neighbor. Only problem was that as soon as I spoke the words they froze and fell to the ground. So I picked them up and put them in the freezer so I could take them out in the summer and listen to what I said in the winter. LOL

    As why we live here, well it is just about the prettiest place I have ever seen for about 9 months out of the year. But the mountains are also very beautiful when they are covered with snow. Next reason would be that for about 4 months out of the year about 2 to 3 million folks go through this region and then the next 8 or so months we are just a sleepy little town waiting for the next batch of idiots to come in.

    Some center cut pork chops that have been soaking in a Hawaiin sauce and then basted with garlic & herb butter while they are cooking. Served with a salad & red wine vinigertte dressing, Steamed asparagus w/mornay sauce
