    It is now 53 degrees here and suppose to get down another 20 degrees. Overcast day and looks like a good day for traveling or baking.. Guess I will bake instead of travel.

    I can't see Texas from here. *sigh*

    Its been freaky warm here but its cooler now. The leaves are falling so slow and look so beautiful. I love it. I was trying to remember how we put waxed paper inbetween the leaves and ironed them to save them. You ever do that, Daisy?

    It's still in the low 30s outside, but it's 63 in my office today! Not sure if the heat isn't working or they're trying to preserve us, but one could hang meat in this place today! WTH?

    That's a little chilly for inside. Im so thankful the price of heating oil went down. Almost 4 dollars a gallon to fill a 200 gallon tank everytime last year. You want to burn furniture to stay warm at that cost. lol
    Crazy weather and those earth quakes. You think those earthquakes are from fracking?
    I wonder if there really is something to that.

    Frito pie for lunch. At least part of me is warm. Not just our floors, people in the deli were complaining about it being cold on other floors too. Like winter snuck up on bldg mgmt. Maybe if we light fires in our trashcans, that'll get their attention.

    I don't know how y'all survive up there. 24 hrs of cold and I'm ready to move someplace warmer.

    No I never did that, I am guilty of collecting pinecones. I found a link on the internet about waxing fall leaves. I used the lawn sweep and swept up ten loads of leaves one afternoon and nine loads another time., the leaves are ready to be picked up again.     I knew we never cut them out after we ironed them! Everyone up here I asked was saying you cut them out and I kept reading after you iron them you cut them out. I never remembered doing that.

    Let me know how they turn out. The only tree we have that would be worthy of working with would be a Turkey oak..

    Speaking of turkey..I saw a flock of wild turkeys down the road yesterday. About 11 bunched together..beautiful sight. They were protected here for years but now they can be hunted. Protected is better...

    I'll be working all weekend, but the OT will be nice. I might double my next paycheck. Won't my wife be happy. Another week of vacation in 7 days. I think I'm supposed to start remodeling the kids' rooms. Paint and floors.

    Yep, it was a bit chilly down to 34 this morning. It is flannel shirt and socks weather...or some type of warm clothing, not shorts weather for sure, unless you are tanked on Wild Turkey, not the birds but the bottled kind. :alcoholic:
