tax cuts for the rich are no different from giving money to the bottom half, they cost the same

all i want is the tax cuts for the rich to go back to what they were under Reagan

the problem is the bush tax cuts for the rich and now the Trump tax cuts for the mega corps been in place so long, the interest has to be paid off

Just make sure not to occupy any space, within a 6 ft radius, occupied by any other human for at least 3 days.

Yeah, see how good that works?

Those two are clearly the most extreme edges, but CNN is not far behind. CNN can not help but attack Trump is the majority of their stories or "analysis" as they call them. It's pretty pathetic.

I'm using ABC News and USA Today mostly.

Trump does a lot of bad things, any fair and balanced media is going to report on it

if Trump want's less negative press, do less bad thing for them to report on

wow, so this republican senator sold off his stock and told his rich donors 3 weeks before the public, how bad this was gonna be?

all while Trump was telling us, nothing to worry about, market looks great

"NPR Released a Recording of Richard Burr Warning Donors About Coronavirus"

    https://www.esquire.com/news-politi...ichard-burr-coronavirus-phone-call-recording/

"This was three weeks before the first of the extreme measures to combat the pandemic were put in place here. The president* was still telling the country that all the bad cooties would disappear in the summertime. Meanwhile, Burr was talking to an audience of fat-cats and laying the hard truths on them."

"Soon after he offered public assurances that the government was ready to battle the coronavirus, the powerful chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Richard Burr, sold off a significant percentage of his stocks, unloading between $582,029 and $1.56 million of his holdings on Feb. 13 in 29 separate transactions."

Why taboo. It is obvious that we are in a state of hysteria.

That’s not a defense of the utter garbage that MSNBC puts out, but at least they don’t try to appear they are balanced in their reporting.

CNN does, but if fact are biased as hell. They take cheap shots at Trump all the time. They are not a legit new source if you want news free of political attacks.

And then both government officials and the attending oligarchs ran out and sold millions of dollars of their stocks. That is why the stock market fell like a rock during the last few weeks--they didn't sell before the crash, they caused the crash! The corporatists has already written our butts off.

The greater the success of the current 'social distancing' campaign and restrictions in the US, the more likely that it will appear the reaction has been overblown.

And if it isn’t successful, the kinds of measures now happening in Europe will also happen in USA - but too late.

Well have it very well under control. We went early. In April it will disappear one day like a miracle. Nothing to worry about. It's the flu. Good things are going to happen. We are doing so great. Our numbers are good. We are going to be so good. And that's not bad!

Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) sold off stock holdings after hearing a private briefing on the coronavirus outbreak
And add to that list Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) sold off stock holdings after hearing a private briefing on the coronavirus outbreak
but also Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), Sen. Jim Imhofe (R-OK) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). Hey, all except Feinstein is from a southern state.

Senator Kelly Loeffler's husband is the chairman of the NY Stock Exchange! That is about as insider as you can get!
LoL!!!! MUG THE SICK PEOPLE! Sick old people are easy to chase down.

Herd animals stampede. Humans are herd animals, and this crisis amounts to a type of stampede by humans. Panic sets in the collective mind and people start doing stupid things like hoarding toilet paper.

    Red Herring Fallacy:
The article gives three "possible" locations studied post hoc. This entire origin debate is nonsensical agitation propaganda because a mutating virus in never one constant thing. The mobilization of 96,000 Chinese laborers to work behind the British and French lines on World War I's Western Front is definitely relevant as a transmission mechanism. Also, relevant factors are all the past genetic variations of the mutating virus that eventually went worldwide as the Avian Spanish flu first recognized as such in Kansas. As in England, the Spanish Avian flu came in three pandemic waves with each wave more deadly than the last. So which version of the virus came from Chinese workers?

And if we really want to be specific about origin, the corona virus has been in bats for thousands of years. What county do birds and bats live in? And if this is the case, who do we blame for the measles? See the absurdity of this popular origin argument.

Another factor is why were 96,000 laborers needed in the first place? World War I troops acted as a worldwide distribution system with American soldiers traveling all over the world spreading the virus and bring it back to the US as a more lethal mutated version of the avian virus--and then US suppressed information of the coming worldwide pandemic. This same pandemic-war transmission scenario could still happen today.

So the real question for us now is why we were not prepared for this national security emergency when Americans have paid for 17 National Security Agencies costing $50 billion dollars a year plus $700 billion a year to the Pentagon? How is that for a meme?

No fallacy. Just the best information we have at this time. You are actually distracting from my point. Which was simply to point out the most likely origin.

It’s fine if you don’t want to ponder why so many viral diseases come out of China. It’s not exactly PC to talk about. I get that. But going forward I think it’s valuable information to have if we are going to improve security.

No argument on the uselessness of much of the National Security apparatus. Lots of money wasted and freedoms lost.

As long as the government is running large deficits, it is not paying off the interest, It is borrowing money to pay the interest.
