The mobilization of 96,000 Chinese laborers to work behind the British and French lines on World War I's Western Front is definitely relevant as a transmission mechanism. Also, relevant factors are all the past genetic variations of the mutating virus that eventually went worldwide as the Avian Spanish flu first recognized as such in Kansas. As in England, the Spanish Avian flu came in three pandemic waves with each wave more deadly than the last. So which version of the virus came from Chinese workers?

And if we really want to be specific about origin, the corona virus has been in bats for thousands of years. What county do birds and bats live in? And if this is the case, who do we blame for the measles? See the absurdity of this popular origin argument.

Another factor is why were 96,000 laborers needed in the first place? World War I troops acted as a worldwide distribution system with American soldiers traveling all over the world spreading the virus and bring it back to the US as a more lethal mutated version of the avian virus--and then US suppressed information of the coming worldwide pandemic. This same pandemic-war transmission scenario could still happen today.
