    LOL

And Halliburton made millions and millions in Iraq, but it had nothing to do with Cheney. HAHA

Cheney has nothing to do with Donald Trump. If he does, I wanna see it.

Without the offense there is no crime, no trial (or other court disposition) and no incarceration. Private prisons take low-risk prisoners but only when the court allows it. You blame judges for doing their jobs? The guards at a private facility, just doing theirs? What then is your specific objection to the existence of private prisons?

Does Trump have the power of veto or not?

Did he have a veto-proof Senate majority to back it?

Yucks and giggles aside, you didn't answer what makes you get down on private prisons, which DO NOT tell the courts to send them prisoners to remain profitable. Like it or else, there is a steady supply of low-level miscreants who do not deserve the full-bore prison hard-time experience.

Oops. I thought you were explaining how businesses can't be given goodies from the government.

Like Burisma? Like the Clinton Foundation? Like Billy Sol Estes, Landslide Lyndon's pal in Texas, leeching off Uncle Sugar during Vietnam?

I didn't see any disagreement about the fact that these private entities DO NOT initiate the process of where inmates are housed.

    Yes, yes, yes and yes.

Judges can be bought. We know this. Prisons can purchase prison sentences.

There's that icky thing called evidence which might buttress your allegations. Aside from the notorious Democrat and disgraced judge Alcee Hastings, can you name other judges who can be bought? And if you get anything on John Roberts, let me know soonest....

Prisons have tried for years to segregate nonviolent prisoners for their own protection, and for decades have failed until the lower-security facilities opened. It saved money. State budgets loved that part, the perp served his or her time as court-ordered, and the requirements of the justice system were fulfilled. Win-win.

That Trump insulted military dudes. He's had trouble with McCain and some generals but so do a lot of enlisted folk.

    Sure. Okay.

Telling active duty soldiers that they are losers if they don't come home alive, or get caught while on duty in a hot zone, is not denigrating at all.

There have been a number of scandals around private prisons. This may be the most troubling because it involved youth offenders: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kids_for_cash_scandal

Wikipedia is not a reliable source for anything remotely political in content. Remaining content should also be taken with a very large grain of salt until corroborated independently.

Whatever. I'll trust better sources. Including better than my source on home manufactured fully automatic weapons.

Cool. Anyone with a better source should absolutely notify Wiki. That's the only way we continue to improve on a fantastic version of Encyclopedia Brittanica, which was a favorite in my house, growing up.

We are all better when we share information.

There are plenty of sources, from multiple news outlets, in the page's references section. Feel free to pick one. I'll come back if you have an interesting contribution to make.

President Trump loves military, as evidenced by reinvesting in military. He never "denigrated" the military; that was a lie, and I think about everybody realizes that. Military votes by absentee, not mail in. It's not the same thing.

See, you've hit upon one reason I seriously doubt these results. As divided as this country is, I think there are very few split party ballots, so this is suspicious.

Uh... what? "I like soldiers who don't get caught!"

He seems to be paying for that in Arizona, where they loved John McCain.
