Except of course "defective" Heterosexuals are just that, and are a small percentage of the population. It is 100% across the board with Homosexuals.

So if you are content in trying to compare homosexuality with Defective Heterosexuals...well more power to you, but keep in mind I didnt lump the 2 together, thats you.

When did I say their decision wasnt a valid one? I said I dont believe it was the right one, but obviously I didnt challenge their authority to make such a dedcision. I even so much as said I'll live with it...

How much more work does the LGBT community have to accomplish before their policy views are accomplished?

    Marriage isn't in the constituion.

But the 14th does tell us that the law must be applied equally to all.

So why didn't you defend gay rights?

I just explained to you that no one has been deprived of a free choice in marriage contracts under the Court's ruling.

If you are upset by other folks being able to make choice for themselves that you don't like, the government is not licensed to impose your choice upon them.

Have a nice cup of tea and a biscuit and stop fretting over whatever legal arrangements your neighbours might choose for themselves.

So now standing up for your rights is called whining and bellyaching?

Yes, if you're attracted to pre-pubescent children. Is that what you are talking about?

Well I'm glad you can make that logical conclusion that Obama is indeed a christian instead of the leader of his own religion.

While your argument is well worded and the sentiment is acceptable, it is fundamentally flawed and loses credence with the insertion of your obvious biased political skew on the matter.

This ruling doesn't force churches to conduct same-sex marriages.
What it does do is remove a level of government interference THAT IS ALREADY PRESENT.

That should be a win-win situation for all true libertarians who would revel in the fact that the government can no longer tell a particular facet of the population that they can't marry other consenting adults that they choose to marry.

Then you break down into some rant against the evil librul homosexual agenda that seeks to eradicate religion and I can only shake my head.

Prediction: 10 years from now, this will no longer be a political issue for 80% of Americans. They simply won't care because same-sex marriage will have been an established normal precedent just like interracial marriage. People will look back, realize that they have neither turned gay nor been forced into a gay marriage, and wonder why it was ever an issue.

Are gay entitled to more or different rights than heterosexuals or do we all have the same rights? Im so sick of gay rights, womens rights and minority rights. We all have the same rights.

I'm not talking about today or next week but the tracks are being laid for total government control. I don't even care about gay marriage it was the manner it was forced on people. I just hope all the statist survive long enough to live under the type of government they deserve.

Sorry, but you never wanted equal rights for all. You've won the case, now is the time to drop the propaganda lines that got you there.

You ONLY wnated Marriage for Gays...thats not equal rights for all. You werent fighting for Group Marriage, you werent fighting for Sibling MArriages, you werent fighting for anything other than your own case.

Equal rights were already there. Every person in America could Marry another person under the exact same rule set. That IS equal rights for all.

Why were gays denied the right to marry? When you deny them based on the fact that theyre gay you make that fight for gay marriage.

In reality they're fighting simply for marriage. The same right as everyone else.

Under our system, thats not enough. I didn't make the rules. People like you did.

If the popular vote was all that mattered, why have I never heard you agitating to remove congress or the supreme court? If the Supreme court had ruled in your favor would you still be complaining? Are you trying to make the argument that Gore should have beaten Bush as president?

Lots of popular ideas have been unconstitutional. Most people were not in favor of interracial marriage when it was legalized by the courts. Our system has never run on the popular vote.

LOL "my side". I'm a neocon. I am not liberal on every issue (not even most issues). You can't have it both ways. This is how the system works. You didn't seem to have a huge problem with it when it ran in your favor.

That being said, you can still override the courts. So whats stopping you? Put your popular vote to work.

Now it isn't. Things changed, just like they changed before.

Yeah, just like interracial couples did. It's already happened before.

It's not a right. Not even for straight people. It's not in the Constitution anywhere.

All the ruling says is that states have to recognize each other's marriages. Just like they did before.

The day people stopped being prosecuted for it.

But you were discussing social norms, not laws. They are not the same thing. At one time, oral sex was considered perverted and deviant.

They were appointed by elected officials. One of them by Reagan.

No, less than half thought as you do. 4 is less than 5.

Yes they are. They can amend the Constitution.

I agree. But we don't need your validation. Just the legal rights. I am ok with you still believing it is wrong and perverted and an abomination.

Why is it unfortunate for me? At what point did I express a desire to control your opinion?

    Ever read the 14th amendment.

There you go. Same rights as everyone else. Which they were denied arbitrarily.

Im talking of 16-18. I will go to jail should i have sex with any of those unless of course I marry them in a state with the age of consent at 16. Again many people when in their teens experiment with homosexuality. That does not make them homosexuals though some may believe it does it just means their hormones were raging.
