Nah, my problems are due to not taking drugs. I stopped taking pot when I was around 12.

 

Alcohol is one substance, drugs comprise a whole spectrum of different chemical compounds with different effects. Are you really saying pot is as dangerous as meth? Just want to get you on record here, I don't believe anyone is actually that stupid.

 

Carl Sagan smoked weed? And he died at 62 of some type of leukemia. Seems to me that a lot of pot smokers seem to die relatively young and cancer related. I'll bet there's something to that.

 

If you keep saying it, maybe it will become relevant to the topic at hand. Probably not.

It isn't relevant. It is physically impossible to smoke enough weed to overdose, in the amount of time you would need to do it. You can't even get close. So any statistic you give about drug-induced deaths in a discussion about a specific drug that's it's physically impossible to induce death from, is completely irrelevant.

 

Drugs is a very vague topic. It could mean Pot, Crack and all those bad drugs, just as much as it could mean someone overdosed on coffee syrup or any prescription drug.

 

All that marijahootchie smoking has obviously "Affected Their Later IQs"....

 

Once again if you drive stoned your far more likely to drive into a bridge abutment or another car with a family of 4 while stoned than sober. Anyone who thinks otherwise must be stoned right now.

 

AND Carl Sagan would be WRONG, as he was about NEALRY EVERYTHING he asininely opined on.

the most intelligent man i ever met had neither been inoculated for anything including tetanus. he smoked weed at least once a day for 3 month per year. he also never spent one single day in a public school and didn't even have a social security number or birth certificate. he was not born in a hospital nor had he ever even been to one.

also, most of you geniuses might not know it but IQ is not an accurate measurement of intelligence.

While not impossible, i would guarantee that alchohol would increase that likelihood by several orders of magnitude more than pot.

Weed is simply a useless drug, there are better highs, way better, its like the loser drug if you really want an effect... I think it defines its users perfectly, losers that don't want more, simpletons that want to be content...

I like that you edited this post but still couldn't spell "contradiction" right (and you do know science is characterized by a progression of peer reviewed knowledge, right?). I'm sure Carl was perfectly content, he did more than you ever will.

 

Not I. Sagan "blew a lot of smoke out his arse" (if you'll pardon the pun), but was nothing more than a FANTASY writer,and not all that great, at that. He was a GREAT story-teller, bery charismatic.

What great "intellectual milestone" did Sagan acheive? Did he come up with viable solar power? No. Master the speed of light? No. Cure any diseases? No. What great contribution did he make, that lives on, other than his being a "hip" scientist?

He was a skiiled advisor to NASA...along with hundreds of other folks.

Come up with ANYTHING that constitutes TRUE GENIUS? If so..please share it with me.

 

NO, the science ORTHODOXY is "characterized by a progression of peer-reviewed knowledge", which is nothing more than a "club" of the "haves" , who then choose to "bestow blessings" or NOT, on the have nots, or even their fellow "haves").

Real scientists exchewed such nonsense as "mainstream" science became nothing more than another political arm of World Socialism, about 50 years ago.
