Slavery is wrong whether it is racially based or not.

White owned slavery of blacks was typified by racist belief that blacks were racially inferior. It may be that some white slave owners believed that blacks were equal and did not have hostile thoughts about them as a group, but I doubt it.

As I said before some started to argue about slavery, such an attitude as displayed by the cop should disqualify him for police work. For obvious reasons, given the fact that most prisons are filled with blacks, put there by cops and the justice system.

I never understood racism, and I grew up in a segregated South. Racism is something that stupid humans believe in, and I try my best to stay away from stupid humans. They are an insult to my species.

I grew up around loads of racists. These days, the only racists I actually know of are black. One would think that they would feel differently about racism given they were its victims for so long, but no, it seems that they are just as stupid as the whites that preceded them.

 

Unfortunately, racism is alive and well in this country. Don't ever let anyone tell you differently.

if somebody grew up around a bunch of racist hillbillies it is highly unlikely that the individual will ever be rehabilitated, unfortunately. would require something akin to an exorcism or a life of servitude in a buddhist community.

racism is described as some one negatively acting on their prejudice
so explain how any race other than white can't negatively act on their prejudice
so if a black business owner doesn't hire someone white for the only reason is because they are white it isn't racism but prejudice ?
