    Not likely, they will be.

Anyone who cares about preserving the peace should at least be worried about it.

Well... Arizona, Mexico (as in New Mexico) are actually Native American place names.

Mexicans, especially northern Mexicans, are almost as descended from "white imperialist terrorists" as I am, on the whole. Indeed, the primary reason they brought so many Americans into Texas was to have someone to stomp out the Native Americans.

And most of the Mexicans who lived in these far reaches of Mexican territory stayed in what became the United States. In New Mexico we know them as "Hispanos."

These immigrants from the south are no more "indigenous" than I am, or, indeed, than Hispanos are.

I doubt it. The last thing they want is politics the way things were done in their old country.

Last time I checked, Mexico was not in possession of nukes, nor did they have the technology that our military enjoys. Radical elements on both sides will end up getting neutralized by law enforcement before they can do any real damage if it comes to that.

Relax, everything's going to be alright.

Huh? The Spanish Conquistadors are the rightful inhabitants?

It's not only demography that is not on Texas's side. The state has also seen a big influx of population coming in from California (about half red and half blue) and many parts of the state are rapidly becoming more urban in character.

I'm not trying to imply that American politics are going to Mexicanize, they're just going to change. One of our smallest subcultures is becoming one of our largest, in something like half a century. It matters.

No, and maybe they never get nukes. I think they will, but a nation doesn't require nukes to be troublesome either.

Neither does Russia. Neither did the Japanese. They can still be powerful enemies.

I don't see any reason to believe that at all. I look at Northern Ireland, Turkish Kurdistan, Baltic Russians, Sudeten Germans, and I see that borders with ethnic spillover can be problematic.

Everything is always alright, eventually. I just think that too many don't see the real threats on the horizon, and I worry that we're going to pretend that this problem doesn't exist until it's too late.

I was just reading about the history of the county I live in. At one time, 70 percent of the growth rate was from natural population increase (i.e. births). A decade later, 70 percent of the population increase was from people moving in from other areas and only 30 percent was from natural increase - a complete switch around.

I think the US intelligence agencies have a good handle on things like this and the appropriate agencies will step in if need be. Maybe I put too much trust in our system, who knows, maybe you'll be right but either way we'll find out long term.

I think a lot of people just don't want to have kids due to the high cost and the time necessary to raise them properly (it's a huge commitment). Times and values are changing from what they were 60 years ago.

There's nothing intelligence agencies can do about demographics or the march of history. The British had the best intelligence system in the world, but the pressures of the Germans and Russians simply outran them.

There will be trouble, I just don't know how much yet. Is my homeland going to be Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Chechnya, Donetsk, Catalonia, Xinjiang, or Baluchistan? It's definitely going to exist somewhere along that continuum.

Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Chechnya, Donetsk, Catalonia, Xinjiang, or Baluchistan are certainly not a "continuum".

Many of these Latinos embrace both Hispanic and Native American heritage. This is why they they affirm the concept of Aztlan while using Spanish as their universal language.

For a better understanding of Aztlan, I suggest reading the book "War Day"; it may give the reader a better hypothetical perspective of what Aztlan is.

It seems that they are much more conservative than liberal, so I find it ironic that the Right hates people who will want to work, will work for less, and share most of the same values as the Right.

So how does that make Latino's the rightful inhabitants? Only Mestizos could claim a partial right, and not in the current US, just in the countries they came from. If you are a Mexican or Guatemalan Mestizo, you don't have ancestors from the US.

Hispanics lived in Texas for centuries before whites got there, first Spanish explorers crossed these lands, they brought missionaries to convert the natives and established communities (usually named for Saints). In many States of the Southwest Spanish law still is applied. Hispanics are a cultural group of diverse ethnicity, its more than just the Spanish language; diet, dress, music and other arts, with different variations, as well as cultural values, are shared by all Hispanics. The cultural values are not significantly different from those shared by whites, I think there's a stronger sense of family and of tradition among Hispanics, more deference to authority, but there's a lot of variation. Hispanics are culturally more conservative.

The mainstream media almost turned Texas. Pouring gobs of leftwing pollution into a body of water 24/7 is bound to have a negative effect.

Many are Mestizos whose ancestors came from states that are within Aztlan. Therefore, their claim to the right to be here is valid.

There is no Aztlan. The mythical Aztlan was in Mexico. That's their homeland.
