People keep telling me that the flat earth belongs in the conspiracy theory. No, FLAT EARTH is massive breaking news. AND IT WILL BE!! What then will you say?
What would the motivation be for so many people and groups to lie about the earth being semi-spherical?
It never will be and you are lying which is a sin in your dreadful religion. How do you imagine explaining your pridefulness and dishonesty to the imaginary god you worship
I will say that Kindergarten level science disproves the flat Earth conspiracy. A rock can be flat, but water (even flat Earth wackos know that 70% of our surface is water) water automatically assumes a spherical shape. First grade physics would debunk flat Earth wackos by simply pointing out that those further away from the center would have to lean away from the center of gravity. Flat earth "theory" was just a joke aimed at weak-minded fools. BTW, new technology allows the mind-controlling signals to penetrate aluminum foil making your hat useless. (Like your post)
I could be mistaken but this thread MAY have been posted on the wrong board on the forum, unless the earth became flat in the last few days. But if it has, that DEFINITELY is breaking news.
Actually, yours in not a good argument. Water in a bowl does not form a ball nor is it gravity that made the circle of that drop. The earliest understanding that the world is not flat was how ship masts disappear over the horizon, while if you climb up something you can still see it. A flat earth would allow non-stop line-of-sight.
http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/the-flat-earth-conspiracy.502733/ ^^This is the real deal about the flat Earth conspiracy.^^
As some of you have surely noticed, the flat Earth idea has gotten a lot of attention recently. It kind of came out of nowhere and got big fast. Why? I have a theory for this, and it involves a government conspiracy. Flat Earth is one of those things that immediately screams, "I'm an idiot and a lunatic". What better thing to use as a discrediting tool in a psy-op? It's just like how the term "UFO" has become synonymous with "alien space ship", so anyone who witnesses secret military aircraft (which are UFOs by definition) is immediately labeled a nutcase. By the same token, I have seen flat Earth be applied to unrelated ideas, to smear those ideas through association. Here is an example: Notice that the title says "flat Earth" (you may have to go direct to YouTube to see the full title), but the video never mentions FE and clearly uses a standard heliocentric model. The video simply presents an unorthodox idea of quantum physics, and FE is used to smear it. A fairly recent example of a high ranking government official using flat Earth to discredit an unrelated topic: John Kerry associates sceptics of AGW science with Flat Earth Society. http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/kerry-slams-climate-change-deniers http://nypost.com/2014/02/16/climate-change-deniers-are-the-new-flat-earth-society-kerry/ So are all promoters of flat Earth government disinformation agents? No. Many if not most are simply useful idiots. But flat Earth's sudden rise to prominence is, I believe, better explained as a psy-op than as merely a sudden spike in retardation.
Yo man what you smokin....yeah dude earth is a giant boogie board man... catchin waves around the sun... whoo hoo!
And if they did, for quite a long time, hundreds of years, it ought to be worth billions to the scientist who reveals the greatest hoax in human history. Fortune and glory. Fortune and glory. \ Given the desire for fortune and glory, there is a reason why no one has busted the conspiracy. There is no conspiracy.
Distance to the horizon at sea level is about 3 miles. Go up 100 feet (tower, cliff, hill, building, etc) and the horizon is about 12. Back in school, our science class wanted us to conduct an experiment. We were told to pick something and come up with an experiment that would prove one of the things that was on a list. We had to actually physically go out there, do an experiment, document it, and share the results. I chose "Earth, Flat or Round" My dad rented a room at the Carousel Hotel in Ocean City on the 10th floor. He then took his fishing boat out and stopped in front of the Hotel about a half mile out. He then turned East and took off. I was at sea level and I lost sight of him. I radioed my dad and he said that his GPS showed that he was 3 miles out. I went up the elevator and back to our room and joined my lab partner. We could still see him. We watched until he once again vanished beyond the horizon. By that point we couldn't radio him. But we knew his speed when he hit the 3 mile range and we knew how much time had elapsed since hitting that mark. So by our estimates...he was 12 miles out by that time. Now on a Flat Earth, there's no reason for us to not be able to see him at sea level but still see him as we got higher and higher up. The only explanation that fit the observable facts was a curvature of the Earth. Our science teacher gave us a good grade and mentioned that we had done the same experiment that the ancient civilizations had done.
Really, I would do that. However I'm sure to get there will require an ice-breaker. Are you sure you have that kind of money.
Actually no, an ice breaker is not needed. Regardless of whether or not one believes in a flat earth or fact remains that Antarctica is a land mass. Under the ice and snow, there is actual land. And there are plenty of places where there is no ice or snow since Antarctica is a desert that gets little precipitation. So ice breakers are not needed. You can just hike that.
