Incorrect. The participation of myself in this discussion pertains to pointing out how and why proposals do not work, cannot work, and will not work. Those who are optimistic need to be met with hard reality.

Indeed it does not. Registration will do nothing to let law enforcement know if there are illegally possessed firearms at any particular residence. A registry system may in fact foster a false sense of security, and result in more law enforcement officers being killed than saved by being in place.

Nope. You have to have a plan to criticize a plan

And what pray tell, Magic Art is Registration ?
How do Felons Register firearms ?
You do realize the folks most likely to be served a Warrant are most likely career criminals, right ?

    They sure are !

    They start out behind bars,
And from a tender age, commit petty crimes like stealing candy from a baby, and it gets worse and worse.

When I was but a nipper, I eschewed wrong and Evil and was a lawman in all my games, others were Outlaws...

Somehow it seems Criminals are born that way...

Not much different from any other young folks, when I was 8, I did not go into a store with other young people, because they went to steal, I went to a store to purchase what I wanted, and if anyone asked, I was not with those young folks.

Benny always wanted me to go to the store with him, and he would steal enough food to easily feed 4 adults.

With his touseled blond hair and green eyes, and smile, he would charm people into thinking he was a lil Angel...

Possessing a flawed plan for dealing with what is being called a problem, is worse than having no plan at all. A flawed plan will only serve to make an existing problem worse, like pouring gasoline on an already raging fire.

Which will yield no legitimate law enforcement benefit to justify such an approach, even if such a system could be executed and implemented flawlessly. The nation of Canada could not achieve such with only a limited number of shotguns and rifles intended for hunting, why would the united states be able to do any better?

your plan does not suddenly gain merit, when it has none, because others don't have plans to harass honest gun owners

After all this....over 500 posts....I have yet to see a plan to reduce gun deaths from the pro gun crowd that offers the detail that is expected from the gun control crowd.

The gun control crown is advocating infringing on a right and hasn’t generated a plan or argument that gun rights advocates find the least bit compelling because it directly impacts the law abiding and does not address the source of the problem, criminal behavior.

Of course it’s my opinion. So what? I wager, I am far from being alone in that opinion.

I would equally wager I am far from alone in mine as well.

ITS an interesting and impotent debate tactic from vegas

    1) I have a plan

    2) I claim it will reduce crime

    3) My plan proposes nothing that actually punishes wrongful acts or increases the penalty on criminals but rather

    4) criminalizes currently legal behavior and only applies to people who have not harmed anyone

    5) any plan that either targets malum per se activities or DOES NOT harass honest citizens will be rejected as not being

    "A PLAN"

    6) my plan is valid merely if YOUR plan does not harass legal gun ownership

    7) that my plan will decrease crime is guaranteed because I have faith that it will

there is the sum and substance of the anti gun side's Crime control plans as presented by our energetic gun restrictionist
