Just an aside - not fully off topic, but not current. Immediately after 9/11, Police and FireFighters had appreciation from the general public as never before or since. I was in Jersey City - immediately across the Hudson from the Trade Towers. People would say hello to the police, tell them Thank You, and just generally befriend them. I miss that. I thought it was one good thing to come out of the 9/11 tragedy.
