The raid was politically motivated.
Just tossing more dirt at Trump. Seems doubtful there will ever be an indictment. Should they try it, they'll lose. Hard to prove intent.

It was literally their job to get what they came for, because Trump would have hid it had they given him a heads up..Like any sane person would do.

If the FBI said "hey we heard you have a bumb stock Trump banned, possession is a criminal offense, mind if we check out your place..we will be there at 3pm." And you have such an item, would you wait for them to arrive?
Its not hard to prove intent when they raid you and confiscate it now, is it?

That would open up another a can of worms because unless gloves were used someone's prints would be on them.

 

I agree 100% with this but we kind need to know what they are. just about everything a president gets and receives is classified because of the sensitivity. One of the documents had 3 different classifications from confidential to TS, so might not have been super obvious. Either way there's a trail of declassified so we'll see.

 

No.... my question is... if Trump's prints are NOT on them...

His intention was to KEEP everything.

So you are saying Trump wore gloves when he handled the documents... they'll have to have his finger prints on the documents to connect him to them... He would not have packed the boxes himself...

They even took documents with them.

From what I have read on the subject, I think you're wrong. A POTUS could be in some TS-SCI room somewhere reading a list of CIA spies in China, declare the information unclassified, and then send a scan of the document to Xi, as I understand it. His or her ability to do so is like a POTUS's ability to issue pardons... absolute.

Yes, like pardons, there is a "process" that is at least theoretically involved, but in my eyes anyway, that's just a formality because once it's been declassified, it's declassified as of that moment in time, and if he or she says, "without a single redaction", then that's how it's done. Yes, I've read formerly classified stuff that looks as you've described, most of it stuff that was sought under the FOIA that someone knew they had to disclose, but who didn't really want to disclose it. I've literally seen entire pages of a so-called "declassified" document that had every bit of information on the page redacted, except maybe the date or something irrelevant and unhelpful.

I do not think, however, that anyone who goes through the process of becoming POTUS would do such a thing, and history has, to date at least, proving me correct.

So you should make up as many espionage stories as you can right now, right before misterms and start chanting about a president who can't declassify documents or what ever else you guys will be chanting.

And this time there won't be any shutting down voting machines in the middle of the night or running off conservative election staff.

You have that ass backwards. The president appoints the Director and is confirmed by the senate. Comey stated to the Senate he no longer was a registered Republican. Comey was handed the task of being both FBI Director and AG thanks to Obama's incompetent AG Lynch. Your remark about the GOP not charging 38 Democrats and Trump not raiding Clinton's house just goes to show they are not as vindictive as Democrats.
