oh yes i will lol, i almost quit watching it once this season and the show is still on thin ice with me. if they go back to what they did the first 6 episodes of season 2, or if daryl gets offed for any reason other than Norman Reedus leaving to make Boondock Saints 3 lol, im done with the show.

lol hopefully he learns his lesson but doesnt live to make up for his mistakes :headbang:

every show has some amount of predictability, like we knew what happened tonight was bound to happen, i just didnt think it was gonna be this soon. but at the same time tonight gave us some definite answers to how things work in this particular zombie apocalypse.

lol bad idea now, was just a suggestion.

Anyone got any ideas as to how the prisoner, and Shane came down with the zombie sickness so quickly? They had to have already been infected when they died.

That's something that doesn't make sense to me about the show. The way they get down and dirty "killing" zombies, they get guts and blood all over themselves. Why don't more of them get infected?

I will PM you with how it happens in the comics if you really want to know (which is so far consistent with the show).

Don't want to spoil for anyone who wants to wait.

Oh no I love the walkers. They are the best part of the show.

The characters are not that appealing. It is the premise that makes it fabulous. But without zombie hoards it might as well be the first season of lost - polar bears and creature.

I don't know from the comics the particulars of what causes Zombies in the Walking Dead 'verse, but in most Zombie movies, everyone is already infected, by a virus or whatever the active agent is, so if you die, from any cause, you become a zombie.

But in living people, it's not active, so they are merely carriers. It's active in the dead so their bites, even if a minor one, cause a sickness that quickly results in death.

    So no nibbling required.

At first I thought the same, but that would contradict the bar scene. Rick killed both the guys in there, but they didn't turn into zombies....so I'm not sure how it will play out.

ughhhhhh i want to explain this because i know how it works now, but i dont wanna ruin it for the Euro's who have yet to see this last episode. and remember i believe the two guys shot in the bar took bullets to the head.

trust me, from what was said in the last season regarding the "virus" and whats happening now its really very simple and makes perfect sense.

The Shane character was pretty beat up with cuts on his face. The last zombie's head exploded during the scene reminiscent of the Office Space scene with the copier. The cuts on the hands of the Randall character must have allowed deliberate infection.

Caution - spoilers for those who haven't seen it.

Probably a good call. Watched it again. The Randall character's zombie transformation presumably happened behind a tree. Before the Shane death there was a click and he looked down. Perhaps the immobile dead lying on the ground can still bite? A zombie-animal/insect-man transmission process? Interesting twist.

em...they made me watch 2 episodes tonight and I don't pay much attention but realise now they seem to record it and watch it later when we all have time to assemble :-D so maybe all the other Euros have already seen what you've seen.

The ones they made me watch tonight involved Dale bowing out, that fecker Shane getting what he's been asking for and a football crowd of zombies coming over the horizon.

I can't help thinking we'd make a much better job of it...there's not many of them, but they could be using a bit of initiative, going on the offensive instead of being total victims. They have access to all kinds of weapons and vehicles they could easily armour and shoot from without much risk. Why aren't they tooling up, instead of waiting like tools for zombies to come to them, a real human would be out looking to erase every zombie they could find.

Also...I once read about medieval people having a terrible time with an evil baron type who pillaged their settlement at will. Then someone suggested building a wall... (it's as old as the hills)

It sounds like you are caught up.

But you raise a good question. It seems to me that in a Zombie Apocalypse environment, you would want to look for areas to hunker down that can be easily secured. A National Guard Armory or a small military base, a school (they are often fenced in) and plenty of homes with actual fences. An open farm is only secure until the zombies wander by it.

They're starting to reveal something from the comics. I'll tell you what it is after the spoiler alert

SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! STOP READING NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT PLOT POINTS REVEALED AHEAD OF TIME!

In the comics you do not have to be bitten to get the virus. EVERYONE is sick with the zombie virus. EVERYONE. It was an airborne pathagen and everyone got it. The virus only takes affect when you die. Everyone just assumed that zombie bites caused it because they watched too many zombie movies. These 2 characters are the first we've seen die from causes outside of a zombie attack. so until this point we had no idea that everyone who died became a zombie.

They hinted on this in another episode when they questioned how two cops became zombies when they had no bite marks on them.

This is cannon in the comics and is well known. It just hasn't been revealed yet in the show.
