Except all gods origins are in the minds of the humans who believe it them. You seem impervious to actual knowledge of atheism, so I am not at all surprised you don't think you are, but time and time again it has been demonstrated on this forum that you mischaracterize atheists and atheism. - - - Updated - - - "it" is precisely appropriate as a pronoun applied to god(s). A dictionary might help.
Completely irrelevant. Atheists mischaracterize believers and God all the time. Apparently, they can dish it but can't take it.... "It" does not provide the appropriate connotations to describe the greatness and awesomeness of God. The atheist needs to belittle God because this makes it easier for him to reject Him.
Well, why don't you answer the question the 1st time correctly. Or respond when the 1st time you were asked. What is the arabic word you'd like to use? Why not use a non gender word, like entity, being. There are lots of non gender words to use.
You mischaracterize God yourself. You insist on using "He" to describe it, but then tell us God isn't male. So, correctly characterize God.
it it/ pronoun 1. used to refer to a thing previously mentioned or easily identified. "a room with two beds in it" 2. used to identify a person.
Why a male? My first response is because El, YHWH, whatever, was a male figure before the advent of strict Judaic monotheism, and that characteristic has simply been maintained ever since. And nowadays there is no changing it if one is determined to use the Bible or any other volume containing any of those scriptures, because they all speak of El/YHWH as a male and a father figure. There is no escaping that now without abandoning the most basic features of the Abrahamic faiths - their holy scriptures. That is why, in the mainstream at least, "God" will always be male.
Well, I have much more faith in science than I do in El or Allah or whatever, but I wouldn't call it a god. Science is a wonderful thing for humanity, though, considering what it gives us. And we don't even have to sacrifice our livestock or children to it!
Completely the point. I try not to yet sometimes I "fall into sin" , but isn't there some Islamic adage about "two wrongs"? In intellectually based discourse I can take anything you care to dish out. See, right there is a mischaracterization. One cannot reject something that one believes does not exist. Apparently this fundamental aspect of atheism entirely escapes you. And becoming an atheist is not an easy thing to do, but once arrived at, its at all hard to maintain such a personal philosophy.
It doesn't matter what you choose to call it. You worship science in the sense that your perspective of the world is purely materialistic. Everyone who does not worship God worships an idol, whether that be money or science or whatever.
Maybe from a religious perspective. I see a false dichotomy in this view. Pray tell, what exactly constitutes worship in your mind? Is it really not possible for me to have no idols, no object of worship whatsoever?
What's the point in discussing the existence of God you're just going to readily assume that He is a creation of man? Nobody's perfect. You call it mischaricization, I call it reality that atheists are oblivious to. The atheists knows there is a God, but subconsciously hides this Truth through various methods.
Worship verb (used with object), worshiped, worshiping or (especially British) worshipped, worshipping. 6. to render religious reverence and homage to. 7. to feel an adoring reverence or regard for (any person or thing). OK. I adore science, so... guilty as charged.
And science forms the ultimate basis of how you perceive the world. You don't believe in God, and thus see a Godless world.
a supernatural being may exist, but I am 100% certain it is not the silly joke described in the koran by the False Prophet Muhhamed
