Fixing my mistake... a VP who takes over from a president who can't finish a term must serve in that president's four-year term less than two full years, thus, as long as Joe holds out after Jan. 20st, 2023, Kamala can finish out his term, and run for two four-year terms of her own. Got my 'before' before my 'after'.... Imagine, ten years under Kamala Harris and whatever she dredges up to be her VP. I don't see them sticking Susan Rice in there, but what I dread is the idea that they could stick Michelle Obama in as Kamala's VP.

The prisoners were held by Afghan's government, they were going to be set free no matter what. My dad used to tell me that if I'm going to put my foot in my mouth (100+ times) I'd better be wearing clean shoes. Trump didn't set them free, the Taliban did and nothing was going to stop them. So end your ridiculously repetitive nonsense and go wash your shoes.

 

The Taliban has no motive to take hostages. They want us out. That's what's happening.

Where is the evacuation order for all Americans in Afghanistan and why was the President telling them the Taliban would not take over the country, NO WAY they would? That is a pretty standard travel advisory. Why was Biden telling everyone the Taliban would not take over the country NO WAY?

 

The prevailing view at this point is that Joe rushed it WHOLE-HOG so that he could bask in a hero's glow of being the president that got America totally out of Afghanistan by the 20th anniversary of "911".
