I think most voters were simply turned off by Hillary Clinton's icy, self-absorbed personality. They really did not vote on the issues--most of them, anyway--but merely on personality.
It is certainly possible--even plausible, perhaps--to take the position that Joe Biden will defeat Donald Trump in November. I do think, however, that there are still some closet "Trumpsters" out there.
Voters will as likely be turned off by "The Palin Effect"of Biden's gender coded, race coded, VP effect NEVER doubt The Democratic Party to Snatch Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory.
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Sorry to inform the Do Nothing Democrats, but I am getting VERY GOOD internal Polling Numbers. Just like 2016, the @nytimes Polls are Fake! The @FoxNews Polls are a JOKE! Do you think they will apologize to me & their subscribers AGAIN when I WIN? People want LAW, ORDER & SAFETY! 10:25 AM · Jun 29, 2020·Twitter for iPhone
It's a leftist comfort-blankey. Put together by the same party which could not train its own poll workers how to clean chads out of machines invented by other Democrats.
I see. So polls are fake and a joke unless they show Trump winning..... Which only these "secret" polls for which nobody has ever seen the methodology do. Looks like you got all the armament to you need to convince everybody that Trump is going to win: a fake internal poll, and Trump saying so. And who wouldn't trust what Dirty Donald says, right?
(my bold for emphasis.) Lemme see here. You people voted for Clinton? That made you spoilers for Obama. Compared to Soetoro, would she really have been worse? Same incompetence. Much bigger graft. But we all knew that part, the way the Clintonistas operated. Border drug cartels show more finesse. But on to that fun stuff like indictments and back-door venue shopping *IF* the GOP can pull it off. They can't expect sympathy from any Democrat judge. Or any city jury. If no judge-shopping occurs? Black ex-President in a court case certain to involve Democrat judges in D.C., with federal juries not out of the question in a black-majority city-and-emerging-new-state....how's that gonna work for the prosecution? To get Obama, reelect Trump. Make the loudmouth with a TelePrompter pay for what he's done to us.
I very much liked your picture of Michael Dukakis in a tank. (I had almost forgotten that--after all, Mike Dukakis is very forgettable--but it is truly humorous.) And I also hope that voters are turned off by Joe Biden's transparent attempt to woo female voters, with the promise of a female running-mate. (He may even go for a twofor, by making it a black female--perhaps the defeated Georgian (for the governorship), Stacey Abrams; or another Georgian, Keisha Lance Bottoms (who is the mayor of Atlanta).
Palins and Trumps can only exist in the Republican Party. Sure... one pops up here or there once in a while among Democrats. But they quickly become irrelevant. Closest we ever got to a Palin in the Democratic Party was Lieberman and... he shot himself in the foot. Now he's what Trump supporters call a RINO. In other words: a real Republican.
Bernard Goldberg--who, admittedly, has never been a fan of Donald Trump (he has said elsewhere that he will simply sit out the 2020 election)--had a rather trenchant column in The Hill: https://thehill.com/opinion/white-h...s-slump-americans-are-exhausted-for-one-thing
Sure. The fake news polls, then later "the race tightens". We see this crap every election cycle. No one with a brain is fooled. Race tightens, Trump holds his ‘Obama voters,’ Biden rules suburbs, youth. Biden's plan to destroy the suburbs will continue to weaken him with these crucial voters.
Let's just say that Trump's uncouth personality, his very unpresidential behavior has had 4 years to grate on America and Americans. That I think is enough. He's a very easy man to dislike and if history is something of a guide, people don't vote for someone they dislike. Question 83 - Trump Likability Regardless of whether you agree with him, do you like or dislike Donald Trump as a person? Total like A lot and like somewhat 31%, total dislike somewhat and dislike A lot, 50%. It's not about policy or issues, at least so far, it's been all about Trump's personality. https://docs.cdn.yougov.com/0nx7ztz02j/econTabReport.pdf vs. Question 92 - Biden Likability Regardless of whether you agree with him, do you like or dislike Joe Biden as a person? Total like A lot and somewhat 37%, not that much better than Trump's. But better. The big difference, dislike a lot and dislike somewhat, 34%. Folks as of now anyway, dislike Biden a heck of a lot less than Trump. So we'll see if history is a guide. Big difference between 2016, 56% of all Americans disliked Hillary vs. 2020 when 34% dislike Biden. It does seem there will be no Hillary to save Trump this time around. or as Trump himself said, "“Nobody likes me,” the president said in a rare moment of self-reflection. “It can only be my personality, that’s all.” https://news.yahoo.com/trump-complains-that-americans-like-fauci-more-than-him-232251216.html And Trump is 100% correct.
Trump attacks Biden Buildings: "No windows, no nothing!" https://www.eenews.net/stories/1063565523 Those folks are smitten with their apertures. Biden scheme to send in his jack-booted thugs to confiscate them all is a game changer! BIDEN'S AMERICA
That was an issue last time when know one knew if he could actually handle the job, now, it's an issue while he clearly can handle the job. He speaks and tweets with brazen bravado, but is actually much more cautious in his actions that one would expect. He hasn't refused to follow a single court decision, he didn't go to war with Iran over a drone, he fired Bolton, he is winding down Afghanistan, and guess what? The "Lone Wolves" of ISIS are no longer an issue since he mopped up ISIS like a dirty floor. He has a solid record to run on, only a fool ever counts Trump out. Biden is either sand-bagging or is in a rapid state of mental decline. We can all like folks rapidly deteriorating, and even feel a great deal of sympathy for them, but, we aren't going to vote for them for President. More important is the Black vote. Obama carried two national elections with 95% of the Black vote on a strong turn-out. Crooked Hillary lost on 89% of the Black Vote on a softer turnout. Biden's an obvious racist, and this is no secret. There is way that the Left continually slights Black Americans, and there is a widening sense of them really being fed up with it. INHERENT RACISM? Democrats Spent Tens of Millions to Destroy the Hopes and Dreams of These Qualified Black Candidates: Who’s down with BIPOC? Not the DSCC. Democrats spent more than $50 million this cycle to ensure that white candidates won the party's Senate nomination in Kentucky, North Carolina, and Texas. Unfortunately, it came at the expense of the hopes and dreams of qualified black candidates attempting to bring more diversity to Congress.
With no Hillary to rescue Trump, I say his very distasteful persona will defeat him in November. We'll just have to wait and see if I'm right. It's that simple.
Who knows who will win? The choice is pretty clear though. The globalist elites want biden in there so bad they can taste it. The lefty media is all in on biden and pulling the same crap they did in 2016. Democrats are pushing for as much voter fraud as possible, like always. Hopefully the people will show up for Trump again.
I can see a huge difference. Biden isn't nearly as disliked as Hillary was by America as a whole. On 30 July 2016 Trump had a 1.2 point lead over Hillary, 40-38.8.Biden has an 8.3 lead over Trump, 49.9-41.6. But that not the important numbers as I see it. In 2016 there was 21% of the electorate who were either stating they would vote third party or undecided. 2020, that pool of voters is down to roughly 9%. Voters seems to have made up their minds much earlier this year than in 2016. Hillary never approached 49% in the polls, her highest polling number was 46.0% back on 17 Oct 2016. Biden has been at the 50% level for the last two months, give or take a few tenths of a point on either side. This means Trump will have to convince a bunch of Biden supporters to jump his ship and to board the so called Trump Train. Trump never had to convince a single Hillary supporter to ditch her in favor of him. He had that huge 21% pool to play with. Not so this year. Of course we still have 3 months to go, anything can happen. But I think it will take a major unforeseen event to change the current trend from favoring Biden to favoring Trump. I also think 4 years of Trump's schoolyard bully personality and his very unpresidential behavior have grated on quite a lot of folks, they don't care who runs against him. They don't care what his policies were or what he has or hasn't done as president. Just just sick and tired of Trump the man and his WWE persona. After all, to many independents, the presidential election is a beauty contest. This one between the personalities of Biden vs. Trump's probably more than policy and stances on the issues. Who is liked the best. But we'll see come November.
