Many corp business models depend on importing cheap labor and externalizing the social costs on the taxpayers.

If the tariffs work then they will be reduced or removed, which is win win for the US population. Fewer non MX illegals to pay for.

Great recent 8 min Tucker video. Tucker, mocking McConnell on tariffs near the end "The idea may work in practice but we're against it because it doesn't work in theory."

If that were true, the solution would be requiring employers to confirm legal status, and imposing hefty fines on any who fail to do so.

Trump, out of spite, taking a dump on conservative values and free trade, does not serve the US.

Cry Baby Don is notorious for his blowhard hollow threats. With the departure of "Day Care" Kelly, there is no one around to provide his pacifier, so it is up to Turlte McConnell and the Boys to quash his tantrum.

    Otherwise, this could get serious:
Deranged Don has already created a multi-billion dollar Big Government welfare entitlement for the nation's farmers devastated by his tariff fetish, adding to his bloated national debt. Going after beeries is an impeachable offense.

Ideological tv entertainers can certainly be a hoot, but their pretenses are predicated upon show business not having to grapple with the vicissitudes of reality.

Why would a suply chain be 'disrupted' rather than a part made more expensive? The part still get through.

Reality? How the does the cost to taxpayers from illegals compare to the cost to consumers from the tariff? Illegals cost a small fortune in social costs not paid for by the illegals' new employers. E.g. health care, welfare, education. Hopefully the tariffs cause the MX politicians to curb non MX immigration through MX. Right now they receive lots of money from the human smuggling cartels.

Free trade helps a lot of people inside the US and harms a lot of people in the US. The people helped are usually the ones with money to pay for all the pro free trade articles.

Tariffs are taxes collected by the US government.

U.S. is on Pace to Collect $72 Billion in Customs Revenue in 2019

72 billion - 15 billion = 57 billion in new tax revenue for the US government.......

Heck 57 billion in new revenue, you could build a wall with that and still have 50 billion for other infrastructure....

Oh wait..... democrats refuse to help the American people.....

    nevermind

Pretending that the American consumer is not footing the bill - including Trump's multi-billion dollar welfare entitlement for American farmers required as a consequence of his tantrump and further bloating his national debt - is futile. Such a fake claim is one of the reasons most Americans agree that Trump stinks.

These ideological show-biz zanies can certainly be fun:

Just when you think 2019 politics can't get any zanier… GOP huckster Tucker Carlson praised Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren's economic plans during the opening segment of his Fox News show last night.

Tucker didn't exactly do that but close enough. Tucker may be populist but he tears the GOP to pieces often enough to make me happy. The GOP is a lap dog to the business interests.
