    That's what the 14th states. The House of Representatives charged Trump with insurrection for his second impeachment trial, the senate found him not guilty. Trump has never been charged with insurrection in any other lawful venue let alone been convicted or pronounced guilty.

    Hence I think this is an overreach or wishful thinking.

    There should be consequences for people like Trump when they try to steal an election, overturn the Constitutional process, etc. We can't let wannabe dictators off the hook just because their coup failed.

    YOU are the new tyrants. Oppressive autocracies almost NEVER have popular support. Nazis, Communists, WPK, Khmer Rouge, etc. ALL of them are tiny elites.

    This is why we MUST indict and convict him of insurrection. We don't need to imprison him, he's really just a crazy old man. But we MUST make sure he cannot legally run again or his cult will destroy this country.

    Except that you can't indict and convict him of insurrection. Because he did not commit insurrection. You can claim that he did all that you want. But plain fact of the matter is that he didn't. And there is no evidence proving that. Even the FBI has admitted that.

    The only reason I voted for Biden was Trump candidacy. If in 2024 Republican candidate will be a normal candidate who oppose Jan 6 insurrection and who agrees that courts must decide if the election are stolen, I an not voting for Democrats.

    No, I'm scared that he will use his loss in the election as a pretext to start a violent Civil War. He tried that this last time and is setting it up so he can try again, only this time he will back himself with elite mercenaries and additional thousands of his well-armed followers. He will still lose but our nation could suffer greatly.

    What does that have to do with anything? It's the lefties who are abusing their power to do as they please. They don't need anyone on the right in their kangaroo courts. But, even at that, the left can't even charge anyone with "insurrection", because there was none, just as there was no Trump collusion with the Russians regarding the 2016 election. And, we've had the left going after Trump's taxes for five years now and who is it that owes 500K in back taxes? Biden.
