There is an unknown in this case. The charge is falsifying records. It becomes a felony if it's proven that the charge of falsifying business records is accepted by the defense AND the prosecutor convinces the jury that it was done to hide an illegal act. As I understand it, this additional illegal act does not have to be proven. However, the defense can insist on these other illegal acts be disclosed. This is where I believe other information will be released and will not just involve election interference; Trump's history can now be introduced

It's about time that Trump's continual use of charity money to pay personal expenses ( theft and tax evasion) is also brought to court

Then they should have been charged - up to you to make a case to the government to do so

I have to agree with Jimmy Kimmel here - if you want to get Dirty Donnie to admit that he had sex with Stormy just get someone to suggest that he was not attractive famous or wealthy enough to attract a beautiful woman he would jump up on his hands and knees and demonstrate every position they used!

SO? Then WHY would anybody get caught posting irrelevant bullshit about Misdemeanors?
    Case in point:
Previously in this thread, this usesless piece of info regarding Misdemeanors was posted:
"Falsifying business records in the second degree is a class A misdemeanor."

But yeah, "Everyone knows he is charged with a felony"...

Funny how the prosecutors, the courts, the state does not agree with you and let’s see - would they have more knowledge? Maybe……. Thing is this is also playing out in the court of public opinion and that is swinging against Trump

Not the criminal law. Same district in NY as this Trump case and they didnt even bring state charges. Demonstrates the double standards for Republicans and Democrats, and Trump and anyone else. And while the FEC came to a settlement with the Clinton campaign and DNC, they looked at the Trump case and didnt even pursue the case. Likely looking at the similar John Edwards case that was prosecuted and he was found not guilty.

May I suggest you actually reference a lawyer about this? I watch multiple legal podcasts and THEY are all explaining the legal underpinning of this and no it is not the same thing

Big problem. I suspect he will be convicted by the corrupt judicial system in New York and will only find relief in the Federal Judicial system, AFTER the election just as the prosecutors intended.

Basically at least 50% of the replies to you on this thread, you know the ones you have been dismissing out of hand? But let me leave you with a thought. If this were what you claim, a misdemeanour of no import that has somehow, despite a whole system designed to prevent this, been turned into a crime - why isn’t that being used as a defense by Trumps lawyers?

Would have been easier for you just to type 3 digits identifying the post. Writing a paragraph instead tells me you cant identify any such post. AND probably 85% of the replies have nothing to do with the comparison between the Trump case and Clintons.

The falsified bookkeeping WAS or WOULD HAVE BEEN a misdemeanor, but it’s purpose was to hide another crime. That makes it a felony in New York Ciy.
