His trade war has resulted in a bigger trade imbalance, not a smaller one.

Referring to the 2009 prices during the Great Recession when the prices were by far the highest in history is intellectually dishonest.

    It's called a war for a reason.

Remember that we were kicked out of SE Asia before retaking it in WW2.

Did you give up in defeat when that happened?

Well China probably shouldn't have went to war with us then.

They will learn a bitter lesson.

Not from people like you who would let them do whatever they want but by us brave patriots who will stand up to tyranny.

    Trump approval rating 52%.

Consumer confidence at a 16 year high.

Doesn't look good for democrats that will run on Climate Change, Racism, and Inequality.

Ah, so **** the nation when Trump’s in power, eh?

How much harm is worth it for the majority of Americans so that the minority Trump wants to bribe for votes do well?

I would have supported Obama in a trade war also.

What you people don't seem to realize is that once the war is over we will benefit far greater than any hardships now.

Except that’s never the case after a major trade war. You are basing that assumption on nothing because you have zero historical evidence to back it up.

    Lolololol

Obama obtained more successful WTO actions against China than any previous administration. And he stood up to China (with my patriotic support) with our also causing record numbers of bankruptcies due to an ill-conceived trade war.

A trade imbalance means American consumers are buying **** cheap from foreigners: why would that bother me?
You have have no problem with Americans going bankrupt from medical bills, but is real Americans do.
Justify your trumpian socialism however you want.

It also means American companies don't make as much selling in China as they do selling here.

Do you consider that fair to Americans?

Twice as many farmers in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin declared bankruptcy last year compared to 2008, according to statistics from the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Journal reported.

    Thats an odd statement

Why did they pick 2008 instead of a more recent year like 2017?

I think the libs are pushing fake news again

I'm guessing 2008 was the previous record year?

Ha ha of course he is but I showed you the why. I most certainly didn't say either President caused the decrease, you're title blamed Trump so if you want to blame a President I showed you which one to blame. China is a player in the fall of our grain commodities, guess when the game started ? 2009!

Ethanol created a corn boom but guess what, once all gas had ethanol the boom ended and it rapidly fell. There's ton's of factors that played a role but China and other countries manipulating the markets are a major major issue with US commodities. That's one of the reason's its very important to get an agreement on grain commodities with China and end the manipulation. Soros does the same thing with currency and how he's made billions, do some research it's sad we haven't fought back before. Farmers don't want anything but a fair playing ground and China and others haven't been playing fair and our government hasn't done squat. You every notice your rice prices or any food price dropping 30% in the stores, of course not, they go up every year yet some how ag commodities don't and they're on a 9 year slide. Farmers take out loans based on estimated harvest and prices, those prices don't hit they have to cover last years losses. On and on so eventually you see what you're seeing today and that's bankruptcy or farms being left growing weeds. That's the basics and it's been going on for 10 years now but I'm not saying it's all on Obama, everyone has let China rape this country.

There you go again trying to blame a President, if you're going to that I gave you under which President the major problem started.

2014 was the prior peak. This is largely due to the commodities prices dropping so low during the obama years

Without giving me a policy reason to assign that blame.

Trump did enact a policy that can directly be attributed to problems for farmers (a period where the largest purchaser stops purchasing is a huge problem, is it not?)
