But as coincidences go, I just watched as hour long program on the origins of baseball. Quite interesting. Abner Doubleday did not invent baseball. It came from Britain, with the oldest known reference from the mid- 18th century.

They will use them to hunt down any opposition including Americans left behind. Exactly how did Trumps deal install them as government? The initial Afghan government did not hold their own. It was never our job to do it for them. It was Biden that withdrew now....it is on his shoulders and I assume you like it!

 

I never approved of anything Trump did. Even his attempts to lower drug prices were just another scheme to bilk old people in the end.

He should have continued and increased our humanitarian aid to the Afghans and downplayed the military aspect. Instead he chose to negotiate with the Taliban as if they were an actual legitimate force in the country instead of a band of hill bandits with political pretensions

 

It would be hilarious if he wasn't a sociopath. He NEVER commits to anything. He NEVER delivers on anything. He just makes promise after promise with NO intention of following through and his supporters are cool with it! Why do they ask so little of their hero? He's always got his tin cup out (billionaire pan handler) and he doesn't give them anything in return...ever. It's a very dysfunctional relationship. If a woman went to therapy and described him, the counselor would implore her to get as far away from him as possible. I'm in Chicago and I feel like I'm still *too close* to him geographically.

"Everybody knows..." means he imagined whatever it is.
"We have people looking at..." means "I got nothing, but I'm a master at the forever-stall."
"Fake news" means they are telling the truth about him.
"Fired X for incompetence" means "X tried to tell me the truth and I'm allergic to the truth."
"Your country" means "Just the people that look like me and love like me. The rest are interlopers that won't go away."
"I, I, I, me, me, me" means "The world revolves around me and nobody else matters."
"You, we, us" means "I need some back-up but I'm not going to battle with you."
"Stable genius" means "If I repeat it enough, I don't have to face the reality that I'm a loser."

 

He had to do that. Now, he gets to run on the promise that he will stop the influx at the southern border and keep terrorists out. He's playing the long con on this one. That's not surprising. He's a con man. What's surprising is anybody is falling for it.

Military equipment is purposely designed to be easily disabled so that an enemy cannot use it if it is captured. Often it has features that booby trap it. The unmatched destructiveness of modern weaponry makes it difficult to keep them from destroying themselves even when they are being used as by their legitimate owners. It's fairly easy to make it so a cannon or a rifle will blow up at first use by any one not its authorized operator

And what do Trump and his Trumpers think, anyway? Are all the weapons still in one place, possibly with big crosses on them saying "BOMB HERE" (In English of course, we can't read Arabic)

Really, Trump is getting sillier, if that's possible.

Very little of this military equipment or weapons were disabled. In many cases the Taliban has just taken over now as the legitimate government of these military bases. Many former Afghan military people (who the US gave this equipment and weapons to) are working under the Taliban now.

Trump signed the deal with the party that was obviously going to be in power after the US withdrawal

Trump withdrew all troops other than 2500 while the conditions of the deal were not being met. No peace deal between the Afghan government and the Taliban meant deal conditions not met. Trump surrendered to the Taliban

 

Nah. That conjecture to attempt to assign blame where it doesn't belong. The terms of the withdraw and the negotiations was based upon Afghan government remaining in power.

And with those troops in place, the Taliban made no effort to overtake.

Right. The only people that believe that are the hyper partisan Biden supporters. To everybody else, it's a clear blunder and failure of the Biden administration to withdraw in an orderly fashion and hold the Taliban responsible.

Keep making excuses and trying to spin this back to Trump. Nobody agrees with you except your echo chamber.

Well, Trump wouldn't have let the Taliban just sweep into taking over the country as Biden did. Now we may have to bomb it. Again, I have to point out that you are infected with TDS. You just can't get Trump out of your mind. You make post after post after post about someone who lost the election and isn't even president. That's how much he eats at you day in and day out.

Oh, and Trump's deal included the Taliban taking over the whole country. Otherwise the actual Afghan government would have been included in the deal. Trump surrender deal guaranteed that the Taliban took over the country

What question? If it could have gone worse? The answer is that it is very highly unlikely that, in reality, it could have gone worse. But, you can say anything could have gone worse. That doesn't get you out of the hole.
