Because Democrats had 26 seats on the chopping block (to the 9 for Republicans), 10 of which were in states that Trump won by double digits just 2 years prior.

9.8 million vote margin of victory (the most in US history) and 42 seats (the most flipped by Democrats since Watergate).

    Yea, that one.

#BlueTide, dont forget to tell your friends.

I know; and most of these leftists also know; but they are playing the political game by pretending it was some sort of political shellacking and a nationwide down-thump vote on Trump. The fact that no thinking people believe them seems to make no difference to them; and so I figure they are simply telling themselves the lie for the sake of emotional comfort. Sort of like Play Dough for the mind.

I believe that he sees the victim role as being very powerful 2020. He knows the Senate will not remove him, so to be impeached by Congress will allow him to criticize dems in their unsuccessful attempt to remove him.

I am trying to decide if you actually believe in your party's propaganda.

Mueller most definitely could have written that sufficient evidence was found to implicate the president, but that DOJ guidelines prevented him from officially charging him. Instead he said no one was guilty, and then went on to slander, malign, disparage and suggest many people might, could be guilty.

    Absolutely.

And meanwhile Pelosi is slow rolling the impeachment proceeding by praying for trump's family to intervene and slow bleeding him across multiple congressional committees and court proceedings so that when she starts the impeachment, she can legitimately argue that she had no other choice.

    Those are factual statements.

Record breaking margin of victory for the House winning party of any election in US history.

And those 9.8+ million voters specifically chose Democrats because they wanted someone to hold trump accountable. Perhaps if Republicans had made even a token showing of doing such, they would not have lost by such a historic margin.

No he did not say "no one was guilty."

The words were, "if we could have exonerated, we would have."

And if you are so sure, what is stopping the House ?

Could it be the lack of a crime ???

No, it is a political choice to slow bleed his ass given that the Senate is not going to impeach him.

Read more about it here: https://www.newyorker.com/news/our-...nancy-pelosis-go-slow-strategy-on-impeachment

P.S. How is trump looking in those swing state polls that only you apparently get to see?

You would have thought that they would have just kept their mouths shut after the Mueller Report was released.

Now they are going to pay dearly for Nadler's Folly and Warner's Recidivism.

Impeachment is not going to happen. That however will not keep liberals from having wet dreams about it for many years to come.

It was a traditional mid term turn-over; and in no way unusual. But I'm not judging. If some of our leftists actually want to BELIEVE in their own party's obvious political propaganda then that's okay, too. Some people believe in elves as well.

Indict him for what - that is the question. And no saying "Collusion, Obstruction" does not cut it. I am looking for specific crimes - not generalizations. What exactly did Trump do - with respect to Russian so called "meddling" - that was criminal ?

We have 2 years of investigation and 448 pages. Surely this should be a simple question to answer.

    From the NY-Times
The Mueller Report Is 448 Pages Long. You Need to Know These 7 Key Things
    ... https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/18/us/politics/mueller-report-pdf-takeaways.html

    I won't go through all 7 but
    3. Fake news? Not so much.

Is one example. Nowhere is my question above answered.

2 years, 448 pages, all the analysis power of the NY-Times and no answer to the most basic question.

    The closest they come is:
    4. No obstruction? Not so fast.
"Mr. Trump was quick to declare the report a total vindication.

But federal authorities went out of their way not to exonerate Mr. Trump. They wrote that his conduct in office “presents difficult issues that prevent us from conclusively determining that no criminal conduct occurred.”

Unbelievable - no determination of criminal conduct .. but presented in the way of "you cant prove a negative" logical fallacy.

This is the sum total that the worlds leading newspaper can come up with -after going through the entire 448 page report. No determination of guilt and logical fallacy.

    What a friggen joke.

I think Trump has wanted to be president for quite a long time. Few People know that one of the eight times Trump switched political parties, in 2000 he switched to my tiny Reform Party and ran for its nomination.

I wonder if it's any coincidence that During Reagan Trump was a Democrat. During Bill Clinton he was a Republican. G.W. Bush gets elected, Trump becomes a Democrat again. Once Obama was elected, he went back to being a Republican. Trump always seems to belong to the party out of power. One has to wonder about that.

Trump may want to be impeached, but not for the reason you stated. I think he seen how the impeachment of Bill Clinton backfired on the Republicans. How Bill's job approval and favorable rating rose all during the impeachment process and trial. I am pretty sure Trump thinks the same thing will happen to him which he can ride to reelection.

The big difference, Bill was well liked by most Americans outside of the hard core Republicans, they didn't want him removed. Trump is more disliked than liked and never built up that good will of the people to tide him over when things get rough. Without getting into the exact numbers, it seems a third of Americans want Trump gone, impeached, a third do not, they want him to stay. The remaining third don't care one way or the other. If he stays, fine. If he goes, fine. Okay, the exact numbers, 38% want Trump impeached and removed from office, 41% do not and want him to stay while 20% are not sure or don't care. Question 11.

In no way unusual? Come on man, you are not that simple.

9.8 million more votes were cast for House Democrats than were cast for House Republicans. That is the single LARGEST margin of victory in US midterm history.
