They don't care that they are making the new standard so low that any President can easily be Impeached now.
Absent a prior decision by the courts, contempt of congress cannot exist because a person can only be compelled to testify pursuant to a valid subpoena, and Congress does not decide if a subpoena is valid.

Nancy Pelosi admitted that they were planning on Impeachment right after Trump was elected in 2016. The Ukraine is irrelevant, because it's been the Democrats plan all along, since they were so Shell Shocked at the outcome of the 2016 election.

Democrats refused to engage the Judiciary to enforce their subpoenas. So they have no argument. There goes one of their two charges down the toilet. That leaves "Abuse of Power", which is also not a crime. This is such a joke.
