it's up to the individual to improve their employment worth. Yes, it takes dedication and sacrifice but many have and continue to do that

No, because of what Biden did THIS year... stopped the pipeline... stopped drilling in Alaska.. stopped exploration on government lands... limited fracking... are you awake?

nope, it's Trump stopping the cheap foreign oil that cause prices to go up

it takes a while after the supply is changed before we feel it at the pumps

Democrat voters are in denial. If they were not, they would need to accept their role in creating this mess with their Democrat votes

the higher prices is do to foreign labor issues, and lack of supply

we have to address the excessive foreign outsourcing and excessive foreign imports

there is some balance in wages vs inflation and we just keep raising the min wage until it balances out - the increased wages also make small business loans would less, helping small businesses, home owners

I cannot speak to other places, but it feels to me like locally this "worker shortage" is mostly a myth except with those employers that were quick with the pink slips last year and now people don't want to give up a job they have to work for them knowing they would be quickly disposable again.

Inflation is a lagging indicator. Trump did this to make homegrown oil competitive and to pander to the oil companies. The cost of energy is the most inflationary.

They demand it. It's not negotiable.

    The pipeline was never active.

They have everything to do with it. The supply problem is global, and pretty much everyone agrees it will sort itself out. Factories, lumberyards etc were shut down, but are operating again, and now the issue is with delivery, which is the last phase in the supply-side. Once the glut is processed, things will go back to normal.

So you deny that we were energy independent under Trump? You deny gas was a dollar cheaper than now under Trump? You deny these things? Really? Wow.... you'll probably blame Trump when you fail your next spelling test.

So you think we should all start heating our homes with wood? Lighting our homes with candles? No more TV or rechargers for you iPhone? Wow... what a childish position to think oil will just go away. Say hello to all your unicorn buddies for me.

The transfer off of fossil fuels needs to happen sooner or later. It’s better we make the shift now, where we can make a gradual shift, rather than where we simply cannot meet energy needs anymore and have no alternative. Tearing up wilderness hunting for more oil is not the answer. And we can certainly do with a lot less electronics in our lives.
The childish position is wrecking this planet so we can watch Netflix a little longer. That is the height of irresponsibility, and we are all guilty of it as a planet.

you deny that Trump cutting oil supply had an effect on price?

the quickest way to get prices back down is to talk seriously about alternative energy, oil companies will try to get those prices down quick

I agree that the transition will take awhile. The transition from horse drawn carriages to trucks and automobiles took wel over 20 years. It is inevitable. But it won't happen quickly.

I totally agree, which is why I have no problems with climbing gas prices. I don’t want them to become completely unaffordable over night, but if there is no gradually increase in pain consuming fossil fuels, then there will be no gradual development of and shift to other means of energy production. There has to be the incentive to switch, or it will never happen until it is too late, and then we have a true catastrophe on our hands.

You like paying MORE for stuff? Can we assume you live at home with your mommy and have yet to pay rent, for food, for gas, for insurance, etc.?

Survive and seeing prices rise aren't the same thing. While we are currently feeling the pinch of inflation, and wages started going up prior to the pandemic due to lack of labor, raising wages even more is going to have a negative effect.

But apparently, some think it's a good idea to see prices rise, and wages rise, without the additional production. Let me know how many more small business collapse under the weight in your area.

How long? While some people are having Christmas Gift melt downs, some are concerned regarding medical needs. 'Sorting themselves out' is vague.
