Only if you paid back all the profit you made on public infrastructure.

It's so funny to watch baggers pretend economic data are simple either/ors. The current data is complex, since our economy is complex, as is unemployment.

I know you fear complexity and the need to think, but there it is.

This may help, but I doubt it -- a mind on conservative memes just can't face reality and its complexities:

Yes because the original al Qaeda idiots couldn't blow up the Twin Towers the first time on his watch. Let's not forget the USS Cole. The African embassies.

And in the the latter two cases the CIA knew who was behind it, where he was and had strike teams able to kill him.

But Clinton was more intent on flavoring cigars in and getting blow jobs from interns, so he kicked that can down the road.

He's responsible for 3,000 innocent deaths.

Clinton didn't spend $3T and alienate half the world to contain a ragtag group of uneducated terrorists from causing much damage.

It took a conservative to do that.

I think youre confused, Bush was Presidednt on 911....

we had no 911s under clinton.

using the logic that blames dems for the economy, its obvious that 911 is because we elected Bush.

stop blaming clinton, was your president that incompetent that he has to blame his entire admin on the last guy?

(obviously all tongue in cheeck mocking the hiolarious absurd RW hypocrisy)

Wouldn't it though? I want unemployment to tick down because people are getting jobs, not because people are giving up trying.

Yes, the environment is real. As is the war the Obama is conducting on energy industries that displeasure his extremist factions.

Had Bill done his job and taken out OBL when he had him on a platter; 9/11 and everything else that happened afterwards wouldn’t have happened.

I read that it was close to 18million Americans who don’t have any type of paying job. That is a very scary number. Think about this; the great depression in the 20s and 30s; 25million people unemployed. This is the worst economy that we have had since the depression. And this all falls right at Obama’s feet.

This 8.6 number is BS, it is a false number. 360,000 people gave up looking for a job. And I don’t blame them. There is nothing there. That is the 1st reason why that that number doped. The 2nd reason is all of the Christmas season. After December 25th that number is going to shoot back up in the 9%. What does this all means, it means that a lot of Americans are still out of work.

All of this because of business regulations, Obamacare, and the unknown with what Obama is going to do.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,215397,00.html oh look your favorite source
CLINTON: But at least I tried. That's the difference in me and some, including all the right-wingers who are attacking me now. They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try. They did not try. I tried.

So I tried and failed. When I failed, I left a comprehensive anti-terror strategy and the best guy in the country, Dick Clarke, who got demoted.

So you did Fox's bidding on this show. You did your nice little conservative hit job on me. What I want to know is ...

CLINTON: It was a perfectly legitimate question, but I want to know how many people in the Bush administration you asked this question of.

You miss the point. There are people on unemployment who are able to get a job, when there is a one who choice not to. Those people are stealing the money.

Easy to say in hindsight. If Bush had taken the daily briefing memos seriously wouldn't have happened either.

That's about it. It was 315,000 BYW...but it will prolly be 360,000 next month.
Come January results, unemployment will be right back up there.
Businesses have come right out and said they are not hiring until they know what Ubamacare will bring them....and when they find out, they won't hire either.

Others have addressed this, and I do not want to bash you.

However, the "blame Bush" while "exonerating Clinton" storyline on 9-11 is deep cow manure. You are not very informed about it either.

Yes, we can find fault with our collective intelligence mechanism in the 5 years prior to it. That includes Bush's 8 months. But what did, or rather did not happen, while Clinton was President, is jaw-dropping. And I am not blaming Clinton directly either. But just comparing the mentalities that existed, then vs. now. Clinton had legitimate political concerns about trying to drop a bomb on Bin Laden's head back then. Yet now, an even bigger liberal of a President took him out in a foreign country, and will put drone missiles on the head's of Islamists in sovereign Pakistan weekly. Hardly makes the news. That is how different things are now.

But, if you want to be smarter on this, you are going to have to read. Might I suggest "Ghost Wars" by Steve Coll. It won the Pulitzer, and is completely updated as per the 9-11 Commission as well. It is also non-partisan.

FYI. Some of us are not only very partisan, but also very well read. Very well informed. I wish more liberals here would at least get informed better. The debates wouldn't be with trolls like Landru, now banned, who have tons of opinions but only grams of true knowledge.

Seems it's getting worse every day. I think it's just the affect a politician like Obama has on his followers. They're like sports fans more than concerned citizens. My anecdotal take anyway.

Its because most of them are kids either in high school or college and many of the rest are literally 9/11 truthers and other nuts, and whats left have crappy jobs they hate and want to see Government pay them not to work.

A few of them have businesses that I can tell, but there are always going to be those upper-middle class liberals who feel guilty at their own success.

Many of our leftist trolls here are college students, and that makes sense. I was never a leftist, but I identified as mostly liberal during my college years. It's amazing how much your perception of the world changes when you are out there in the real world. I would bet that some of our most obnoxious liberal posters here will find themselves identifying with Conservatives once they graduate and begin working. Then, they will see the laziness and false sense of entitlement coming from the left.

Key Charts From The NFP Report: Records In Jobless Duration And People Who Want A Job As Civilian Labor Force Plunges

'Here are the four most important data points and charts from today's job report: the civilian labor force declined from 154,198 to 153,883, a 315K decline despite the civilian non-institutional population increased (as expected) from 240,269 to 240,441: always the easiest way to push down the unemployment rate. Percentage wise this was a drop from 64.2% to 64.0%: the lowest since back in 1983. Naturally, this would mean that the people not part of the labor force rose, and indeed they did by 487,000 to a record 86,558 from 86,071. This also means that more people are looking for a job: and indeed, the number of "Persons who want a job now" rose by 192K to a record 6.595 million. And lastly, confirming the behind the scenes disaster of the US jobless picture, the average duration of unemployment rose to a new record 40.9 weeks from 39.4 weeks previously. And that is your "improving" jobless picture in a nutshell.'

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/key-c...-people-who-want-job-civilian-labor-force-plu

In other words, the unemployment rate went down so much mostly because 315,000 people officially gave up looking for a job.
