There are a number of partial solutions that don't involve income redistribution through the tax system. Tariffs and quotas are one approach, but they're unlikely to be successful because other countries will retaliate with tariffs of their own. It means we can't protect high wage, low skill jobs. Another approach is to train (and retrain) workers for high skill jobs so they can earn high wages. Of course, there are only so many high wage jobs, and it may prove difficult to retrain older workers.

If you are not saying the Y decides sexual preference then you shouldn't have said just that.

Sexual preference is in the brain. The Y chromosome causes testosterone which causes the developement of a male body and a male brain. There are different theories as to what may cause homosexual tendencies.
