Hitler and Nazisim was the direct result of not helping Germany get back on its' feet at the end of WW I.

"Remake" is a bad choice of words. More truthful to say "reinstate" American puppetry. The U.S. intentionally destroyed Irak and its' infrastructure, obliterating human cultural history as well. The U.S. has never wanted to "remake" (or "preserve") the Middle East but rather to dominate and control its' natural resources.

There was nothing "democratic" about the illegal invasion. Actually, it is for the very reason that the U.S. claims to represent Decmocry while actually destroying the world is why the vast majority of Arab nations want nothing to do with so-called Democracy. The greatness that is Democracy is irrelevant when those who claim to be to doing Democracy's work is instead creating death and destruction.

Exactly. Looking at the surface of the situation ... you have a "Democratic nation" (in quotation marks) destroying the world. Why would you think Democracy is such a good thing?

So... you say America helped Iraq create WMD's,
    but... Iraq had no WMD's.

Osama bin Laden took the credit. And boasted of doing something
big days before he sat down with a TV to watch the event.
His engineer Khalid Sheik Mohammed boasted of his involvement, he
is in custody at Guantanomo. I find it rich these guys want leniency or
    re-trials after killing so callously.

You are right on the general point you make, but to precise, the Iran-Iraq war began in 1980 and continued until 1988, with Iraq's use of chemical weapons starting around 1982-1983 and then reaching fever pitch proportions in the later stages of the war, with the US quite aware (and indirectly coordinating the use of such weapons against Iranian troops) in the latter stages of the war in particular (1986-1988 time frame). The worst atrocities committed by Saddam by the use of chemical weapons against the Kurds, on the other hand, was in Halabja, in the 1988. But in terms of numbers of people who suffered from these chemical attacks, the main victims of Saddam's use of chemical weapons were Iranian troops (as well as civilians in affected areas).

Iraq's chemical weapons arsenal were destroyed by Iraq as part of the terms of the ceasefire agreement it reached with the US and the coalition against Iraq, incorporated into UN Security Council resolutions. Any remnants of Saddam's program were basically ended during the time when Iraq was under intense scrutiny regarding its WMD pro

Of course there is no evidence to support your position since the nuclear program was abandoned years before the war. And if I remember the nerve gas weapons were non functional antiques provided by the US.

To say it again there was no, repeat no, evidence of a WMD program prior to the war.

My goal is to end statism. You may have similar goals. Unfortunately, your method would bring about the exact opposite result.

And I have no interest in responding to your strawman.

To anyone with a basic understanding of evolutionary biology. If humans had been categorically selfish, they never would have survived as a species. That is just basic science actually.

Why do you suppose communist regimes in Russia and China made such an effort to attack institutions like culture and religion?

I'll tell you why: Because the organic social bonds between humans are the mediating institutions between the naked individual and the state.

Strip away those social bonds and what do you have left? A disparate smattering of isolated and disoriented individuals, easily exploited and preyed upon by the state.

One doesn’t live life as a species, one lives life as an independent sovereign being with the right to “...life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness”. The only thing my evolutionary “jeans” do is keep my butt warm.

    Oh. You’re a anarcho-capitalist.

Anarcho-capitalism is a political philosophy and economic theory that advocates the elimination of centralized states in favor of self-ownership, private property and free markets.

    Back in the 1970's/1980's.... yup.

    ^^
Rumsfeld shaking Saddams hand for doing a good job.
It all was discussed at the UN. The UN supported Iraq, because it attacked Iran.
They should have hung them American accomplices for war crimes next to Saddam.
Yup. So say them weapon inspectors who had a look.
All the US found was chemical waste from the 1980's.

No, it's what you want to believe to justify your prejudice as opposed to the facts.

Yep, keep the Ayatollah at bay, good for him! The US found 5000 chemical weapons from Saddam's 90s stockpile which were still effective enough to poison the troops who discovered them.

Nope, the nuclear programme was suspended, Saddam just biding his time with his uranium stockpile. Not to mention all those deadly nerve gas weapons which poisoned the allied troops who discovered them during the liberation.

You sound like a gimp cheering that a plane that flies into the world trade center.
Not effective enough to use as a weapon. So they weren't WMD's.

Pearl Harbour was not in the U.S.
9/11 was not a declaration of war nor was it an invasion.
Zimerman telegram was what we call "a telegram" .... a piece of paper ... neither an invasion. nor a declaration of war.
    FACTS? You want facts?
Saddam Hussein said there were no WMD's.
Tariq Aziz said there were no WMD's.
The UN inspection team said there were no WMD's.
Hans Blix said there were no WMD's.
President Bush said there were no WMD's.
And ..... wait for it .... no WMD's were found.

Gosh! So many facts! But can you handle the truth? :cynic: Scary, huh?

yes suspended for about twenty years. And the nerve gas was in containers so old and corroded that persons without skill should have gotten nowhere near them.

You mean I don't like to see the theocratic dictatorship dominate the middle east and destroy western democracy?

Yes they were, they poisoned our troops a decade after the liberation
