It is wrong they should follow our laws just as I would follow their in their country.

But frankly I would ignore them for the most part. I would come down so hard on the companies that the thought of hiring some one illigally would make them sick. Massive fines, removal of licenses, and possibly jail time. If you take away the incentive of coming here then they will not. Supply and demand.

Wake up! The riots in Greece are a forwarning for what is coming to America. Why you ask?

    1. Our debt is over-running our income. Our debt (OUR means us "We the People of the United States") is 40% of the income brought in through taxes. It's bad enough that we have Americans who are tax cheats but how many illegals are being payed under the table and that money being sent back home.

    2. Unemployment is around 9% according to government figures. That is just people who are drawing benefits from the government. The real unemployment rate is around 16% ( people who have expired their benefits and been unable to find work). Companies who are looking for skilled workers are having a terrible time finding educated employees. Job postings for less educated workers are attracting about 200 applicants per job. Yet I see many jobs being filled by uneducated illegals who cannot even speak english.

    3. Some hospitals have been so over-run by illegals recieving FREE service's that they are near bankrupt or have closed down.

    4. State government's are so short strapped for cash and yet they continue to support the children of illegals in our schools, our colledges, our hospitals and even our welfare system.

    5. Crime is rapidly rising in neighborhoods of minority illegals because some cities have made them sanctuary havens. Police are not allowed to ask them their status or they refuse to ask them using the excuse " we don't want them to fear us because we may need them for information on crimes in their neighborhood without fear of deportation". Yet the crime and gangs continue to be major problems.

    6. A watering down of our Constitution by the government has been going on for a long time. If one brings up anything against illegals they brand them as racist. What happened to the "Rule of Law"? Democrats see illegals as "votes". Republicans and business see them as "cheap labor". I have been to many of the countries that these illegals come from and trust me they do not give us the same rights. In fact, most, don't even like Americans. If you want to see your elected official squirm, just ask them, " what do you think about illegal Amnesty" . AMNESTY - Forgiving one for being a LAW-BREAKER. If their willing to break the law to get in here what is to keep them from breaking other laws. They have no respect for our laws now.

In conclusion, we need to get our own house in order before it's too late, unless we wish to be like Greece with rioting in our streets when we can no longer pay our bills and their is no longer any money for Social Security, Medicare, parks and recreation, roads and bridges, etc.

But we didn't tighten the border or up the American citizen birth rate. Most of the reasons for turning a blind eye to illegal immigration still exist.

I believe that a number of millions of conservatives have said, "Close the border," and THEN we'll talk about the illegal criminal immigrants that are already here.

I doubt most police officers want to deal with this. They are overworked and under manned as it is.

Every cop in every city and burg in this country asks for ID before they do anything else. Every time they stop anyone for any reason. Go run a stop sign, The officer may politely greet you, then he will DEMAND, in a nice way to see your ID. If you do not or cannot show it to him. his next move is the RADIO. That's not overworking them, its keeping them as safe as possible in a situation of constant danger. Once he has your ID, he goes to the RADIO, or his on board computer to verify your ID. Nothing new is going on. One clerk in the station house can write up every illegal brought in. There's REAL job creation. One job created, hundreds of illegal criminal aliens deported. Win, win, win, win, win

Illegal immigrants should be immediately deported on discovery and a record kept with them NEVER being allowed to become an American Citizen. We have enough home-grown criminals, without importing more. Illegally crossing our borders is a crime, anyone doing it is a criminal.

We should change our immigration laws and make them more suitable for the times.

Any illegal immigrant caught committing a crime should be sentenced to 10 years work gang, in addition to any sentence for the particular crime, and at the end of that time, deported.

It would seem all this energy by the "wall street protesters" should be aimed at and rechanneled towards all the shops and malls and people in the apartment buildings who have hired illegals and taken jobs away from Americans. I haven't been to NY in a long time but I was in NJ and I seen few born Americans doing jobs in the service sector. The same way in the Washington D.C. corridor. I thought I was in South America.

Look around in your neighborhood and see who is doing the roofing, pouring of cement, carpentry on the few new housing going up and almost all the landscaping work. It isn't Americans. Wonder what our employment rate would be if these jobs were in the hands of Americans.

What part of finding out the person that already committed a criminal acts nationality status is "unreasonable"? Do you cry when a cop searches a perps pockets before they get arrested?

You got it. Illegal immigration is more ingrained and supported in the U.S economy than enforcement immigration law is. The laws are already in place to curb and discourage Illegal immigration... the will is another matter.. there is no money to be made in stamping out low wage illegal labor.

Yep.. the corporations that lobby against immigration reform and enforcement are way ahead of you.

Wackenhut and Pilgrims pride love immigration law and enforcement just like it is now.. and they are willing to pay good money to politicians to keep it that way

The visa expiration isn't a crime (last I heard), but coming across the border without inspection from immigration authorities sure is. Here's the Criminal law the fence cutters/climbers are violating :

    TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER II > Part VIII > § 1325

§ 1325. Improper entry by alien

    Any alien who
    (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or
    (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or
    (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.

The illegals not only swipe 8 million jobs (currently) from Americans, but they also send tens of Billion$$$$$$$$$$ of their wages back to their home countries ($25 Billion/year to Mexico alone). This is disastrous to the US economy, and years and year of it is one of the reasons why our economy is drying up. Instead of that money (AKA remittances) being spent in US stores and pumped back into the US economy, it is being lost from the US economy, and is a + factor for the economies of the illegals' countries. This is why dirtbags like Mexican president Calderon come here and b-tch at US Congressmen over Arizona's SB1070 law.
And why Irish President (I forgot his name) come here and pressure George Bush to keep taking Irish immigrants, legal or not.

As for why the Democrats look the other way ? They want the illegals' VOTES. Just about everything those ass-kissers do revolves around getting votes.

There's also the subject of legal immigration. Last I heard, 150,000 work visas were being granted to foreigners, while we have 14 million Americans (the govt. figure) unemployed. This is insanity. Not to the President and Congress. Again, its about votes.

In the infamous US vs Yamato Engineering Specialists trial in Bellingham, WA, Obama's US prosecutors gave Yamato's owners a slap on the wrist for hiring 28 illegal aliens. They could have gotten 5 years prison time + a $750,000 fine, for violating IRCA (Immigration Reform & Control Act). Instead they got a fine of $100,000 (less than 1/7 of the max) and NO JAIL TIME AT ALL.

After the trial, the prosecutors were seen shaking hands with the Yamato honchos and joking with them, and praised them as good examples of workplace leaders. "Good examples" ? Breaking the law ? Shows how far out this thing has gone.

In the initial part of this case, Other Planet Janet (Napalitano) had the illegals bused over to CIS to get work permits, and they went right back on the job. Amazing ! (and sickening).

Well said. Deportation isn't enough. Illegals leave and come right back again. If they got imprisoned in a hellhole, they'd think twice about coming back again.
