In June 2020 the NAACP demanded that the Minneapolis Police Department stop using the procedure in Minneapolis. Floyd was died in May 2020. Why would the NAACP demand that they stop using the procedure if it was already forbidden?
NAACP urged Minneapolis police to ban neck restraints (nbcnews.com)

It does not make any difference what his superior said if they were trained on it and their regulations did not forbid its use. Superiors are sometimes wrong.

Where does the Autopsy claim the knee CAUSED the death?

On June 1, Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner Andrew Baker ruled that Floyd, 46, died of cardiopulmonary arrest

Baker found that Floyd's cause of death was "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression." He also listed hardening and thickening of the artery walls, heart disease and drug use as "other significant conditions." Fentanyl and methamphetamine were found in Floyd's system.

Says the guy who doesn't understand a damn thing he saw or read, and thinks there's no chance a blood level of fentanyl that is almost 4 times the accepted level considered lethal has anything to do with it.
I'm sorry, but you are living in a fantasy where you believe your thoughts determine reality- and every rational person knows that is about as distant from reality as it can get. Your head in in dire need of sunshine.

I've not commented on this case until the trial, but now the facts are pretty one-sided for the defense. The prosecution can't prove causation, and attempts to silence and intimidate the MD have been futile. Had the officer not put his neck on Covid, would have he have died? Toxicology reports indicates his levels of the drug were almost three times the amount needed to cause death. Was the knee a contributing factor? Possibly, but I don't think that argument is strong. The action taken by the police officer was in the police manual. The police trainer and chief can falsely claim it's not policy, but restraining suspects via the neck is described in the manual. There's even a picture. I can see with my own eyes that they trained officers in that manner. So my estimation:

99% chance Chauvin will be found 'not guilty' of murder.

98% chance Chauvin will be found not guilty of second degree manslaughter.

This argument about Floyd saying he can't breath is a 'Hail Mary'. The officers had called the ambulance. The ambulance driver was lost. Another contributing factor to the death of Floyd. Should the officer have known to flip the suspect over? Maybe. That's reasonable doubt. But at this point, my feelings have changed from being horrified by the original clip that was shortened to being pissed that so much of the evidence presented was demonstrated as false.

Late to the thread and haven't followed thoroughly the trial, but am I wrong?.....wasn't Floyd passed out in a car before police confronted him? That would indicate he was undergoing some kind of self inflicted trauma.

You missed the bit about restraint only "for as long as required"; once Floyd stopped resisting and was handcuffed, your man was obviously getting off on his wannabe genghis khan trip...

No I didn't. It's just not a concrete standard. Maybe I interpret that as being allowed to restrain him the ground until the ambulance arrives.

What do you mean stopped resisting and was handcuffed? He started resisting before and after he was placed in handcuffs.

So he's Ghenghis Khan? If you're already resulting to name-calling, then you probably agree me with me. They've got no case. You're just part of a lynch mob.

Chauvin will be found not guilty of all charges because there will be at least one person on the jury who had already made up their mind last year

Handcuffed in a very confined area, so why could they not "have him thrashing around while they are trying to drive" and where is your evidence that he would have even done that? People thrashing around in the back of a patrol car or van is an extremely common event

Why did you write "the black man"? His name is Floyd. There was no "violently"
