We VOTE! Because make no mistake. The GOP is coming for your healthcare. Pre-existing conditions will be back If you have a pre-existing condition (and who doesn't?) you will be priced out of the healthcare market And right after that Mitch McConnell has vowed to go after Social Security....Medicare....Medicaid MAYBE not for those already collecting ....but if you're approaching retirement you'll see cuts...and you'll have to work longer. If you're younger than that you can expect a seriously damaged program...unless we stop this attack NOW But then you never know. The GOP may just begin cutting benefits for existing retirees. They are THAT serious about getting rid of the social safety net that they hate VOTE people. Vote like your lives depend on it. They do
Hey leah. I made a thread about whether or not we should abolish the electorial college and I was waiting for my Liberal friends to come and help me defend the electorial college from democrats. Of course you were totally wrong and a ton of democrats want to abolish the electorial college and they are proud of it. You messed up your quote. Democrats say when republicans go low we kick them in the knees. We get uncivil, And harass republicans on the street. The only people they are trying to get to vote are illegal immigrants.
I’m not buying into the rhetoric. Politicians have surmised that just spouting off spurious comments to wheedle the base works. There is little need to follow thru. The GOP has mastered telling people just what they want to hear and then tell the voters every two years that the democrats suck...
Make no mistake. Obamacare was almost gone and McCain saved it at the last minute. McCain is gone. If Republicans keep the Congress...it's gone. No pre-existing conditions...no healthcare. Gone
Sounds like every Dem campaign ad Ive seen on TV... do they issue a script or is it more of a THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING routine?
Yea...because the GOP didn't try to get rid of Obamacare like 47 times. Like McCain wasn't the deciding vote in saving it during the last unsuccessful attack. Like McCain isn't dead Like McConnell (who is a blatant bully partisan) hasn't said that Social Security/Medicare/Medicaid is on the chopping block after the election
Make no mistake. Obamacare was almost gone and McCain saved it at the last minute. McCain is gone. If Republicans keep the Congress...it's gone. No pre-existing conditions...no healthcare. Gone
Hogwash should be used on the hogs, not dumped in the forum as if it was something relevant. It obviously hasn't occurred to you that the threat to these services comes from imprudent financial practices; primarily providing benefits to those who haven't earned benefits. That is the fringe of socialism increasingly intruding on sound fiscal policy. Those who think that they are entitled to the protection of somebody else's safety net see no need to build their own, and don't really care who has to pay for it. "Somebody else" always winds up being US, or our children and grandchildren. But why should you care? I doubt you will be able to understand that, and don't have an answer.
And if you think your vote doesn't matter...consider this The Virginia legislature switched from Republican to Dem based on ONE vote...and tens of thousands now have healthcare because of that Trump was elected because of 80,000 votes spread across 3 states...out of 160 million votes cast Your vote counts. DO IT
You Dems have been saying this since 2016 and nothing has happened yet. Didnt help you then, not gonna help you now. Nothing but BS most people see right thru.
Were it not for McCain...Obamacare would be gone NOW McCain is dead McConnell has shown his naked partisanship and "scorched earth" attitude with his nuking of the filibuster and ramming through of the Kavanaugh appointment When he says he is coming after Social Security/Medicare/Medicaid...he means it because he knows this may be his last crack at it VOTE people
Voting people means having a nation that is solvent, strong and independent- not a collection of free-loaders, dependent on what you call a "safety net".... which is in fact, a trap that attracts those unwilling to take care of themselves. Obviously you do not understand that.
So you think retirees are freeloaders? You think people needing healthcare are freeloaders? I beg to differ
And And those are your words, not mine. Retired people drawing social security have paid their dues, they are not freeloaders. People needing healthcare can be anybody. I have healthcare because I've paid for the insurances that cover it. I've never taken so much as an unemployment check from government. I pay my way- no matter what, and I've had major cancer without insurance when I was broke- and still paid my own way. If you have $5000 in tattoos but couldn't afford to pay for your healthcare and think others should pay for you- you ARE a freeloader. If you need healthcare but don't like working, you ARE a freeloader. If you aren't smart enough to know people are responsible for themselves and want the government to pay for them, you ARE a freeloader. Got it?
The topic was Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid and Obamacare. YOU went off about freeloaders so apparently you slipped up and let your true feelings out oops
I will be voting Republican this time around instead of 3rd party like in '16. I'm voting more against the Democrats as I am in favor of Republicans. Most of Congress (maybe all?) are slimeballs. But the alt left is moving in a dangerous direction so I will vote for the right wing this time around. I'm just one vote though. I wonder if there are many who share my feelings.
