Well, at least Mittens the vulture came up with an idea. He would have told the courts to expedite foreclosures so that those people who were falling behind on their mortgages would get the hell out of the way and let the investor class come in and buy up those underwatrer mortgages for a song and rent them back to the people who got disposessed and make bazillions of dollars for those speculators who worked so hard for it and drive those housing prices back up.

And you don't think Obama did that today in his speech on taxes?

 

The Democrat policies started BEFORE 2009 and had they heeded the call from Republicans on housing the bubble wouldn't have had to burst.
Make the tax rates permanent while then reforming the tax system to simplify it and lower rates even more.
Continued spending restraint ala 2005, 2006 and 2007.
A strong policy for cheap domestic energy supplies.
Market based health care reform.
Restraining the EPA and it's facist policies.

Then get out of the way and let the American people do what they do best, produce wealth and income without government interference.

 

Yes a plan that would have worked and gotten the housing market back on track. Not expedite just go through what will still have to be done. How many failed policies has Obama had now, two, three? And all of them get a fraction of the participants they expect and then most of those end up in foreclosure anyway. Most of them should never have been buyers, they should have been renters, else they gambled with their home which is a lousy investment idea and lost, oh well.

 

I don't think they would have passed any stimulus whatsoever which would have made our economy continue to hemorrhage jobs instead of gain them.

I think he went after rich folks who can afford to have their taxes increased and tried to save the little guys a tax increase which they cannot afford. He was playing to his blue collar base.... as any good democrat will do.
