Why have we lost our patriotism?

Because too many forgot what "Patriotism" is. Because demagogues convinced them that "patriotism" was no longer about doing things for your country. That it's more about "worshiping" symbols. So they forgot that patriotism was about achieving things, not about saluting the flag. It's about being being proud about Americans who achieve things. Proud because we beat the Nazis in a war, or beat the Germans in the World Cup. Patriotism is about being leaders in the world. Leaders in technology, in Climate Change, ....... Patriotism is about being moral leaders and embracing Democratic regimes and condemning dictators who have tortured and murdered our citizens. Patriotism is holding our leaders accountable for their crimes.

When we lost that is when we lost patriotism. Demagogues convinced too many that patriotism were empty symbols. Standing up for the flag was patriotism, but not playing your a$$ off to make our country a world champion. Wearing a lapel pin became patriotic, but not being the example of moral values in the world. Saluting the flag became patriotism, but not working all your life to achieve a Nobel

That's why and how many lost their patriotism. Because they don't know what the word means.

Talk about insulting the Country, the Constitution, and the Flag.

I have news for the MAGA Crowd:

America was ALWAYS GREAT (Before Trump came along and crapped all over America).

Don't wanna live in Cuba or Venezuela. I already live in a desert. Don't wanna move somewhere warm again.

 

Ya know, this is very interesting, particularly in light of the fact that "conservatives" and righties in general have been slandering, spewing hate, and expressing contempt for US government ever since Reagan.
