Science is not a religion and it's ignorant, or lying, to suggest that it is.

And right there is the very reason the RCC became so powerful in the first place. Fear mongering.

Even satan believes in God. There is one condition. You must believe in Jesus as your Savior or you will experience an eternity of no hope and no God.

The default position is not that something exists until proven otherwise.

Why must the naysayer refer to Christian outreach as 'fear mongering'. If you want fear mongering take a look at the Islamic faith.

Anyone that believes in god...You are all as bad as each other... Tell me, what makes your imaginary friend any more real than their imaginary friend?

Because it's his imaginary friend and so it must be real.

'Tis better to have an imaginary (to you it's imaginary) friend than to have no friend at all. We shall all learn someday what is imaginary and what is not.

Yeah, it's called science, something which actually searches for answers rather than believing that a stone age tribe knew more than we do today, such as the Earth being flat, etc.

Too late....I already pulled the "flat-earth" card on the god-haters. All you have left is Godwin's...

Dear, I MUST do what MY conscience directs me to do, nothing more, nothing less.

I do believe in an universal, personal God, and HE, SHE, IT has given me FREE WILL,and a brain.

I believe Jesus was a great prophet, a good man, the "son of God," as wa ALL are "sons of God!"

I believe everyone's beliefs (even non-belief) should be respected, but that NO ONE has the right to impose their manmade beliefs on anyone else.

ANY religion that divides people, that uses culturally based dogmas to DIMINISH God to the level of man's image, or man's needs to "relate" is working against the ultimate meaning of God: Love and unity.

Now, these are my God inspired beliefs. I do not pretend that they are better (but not worse either) than yours, or that of the non-believers, but they are mine and they are perfectly congruent with my conscience and my God given free will.

Thats just it - we don't need to wait to see. We already know how all those things are possible without any kind of god. The mere existence of this beauty offers no insight into the existence of any deity.

    Oh noes!

That is your very limited point of view!

I respect that you feel strongly about this. I feel strongly that your point of view is MUCH too limiting to be "Godly!"

The scientist did not discover that the earth was not flat. And how about the earlier scientists that supported the flat earth theory?

Sorry, ancient scientists came along and measured the curve of the Earth while the Jews and then the Christians were still believing it was flat because of their holy books.

My point of view is based on God's Word. My point of view does not limit God, it is His Word that speaks to the narrow path that few will take, most will take the wide path(s) to destruction. He gives us two choices. A) Believe or B) Reject. He tells us what the correct answer is, but you believe Him not.

The world is discribed as a circle. You find it.

Ok, so you can't find such in the Bible. That's fair enough.

I'm sorry, I don't buy (*)(*)(*)(*) books so I don't have one on me. However, it is used by creationists all the time to demonstrate that Christians have always known that the world was round because the Bible calls the world a circle, which creationists think is not a flat shape.

Until the day that the religious can demonstrate just one shred of logical evidence of their god (logical evidence, voices in your head or just a feeling don't count or half the serial killers out there were sent on a mission by their god you'd have to admit) then there is no reason to believe in any apart from wishful thinking.

You don't need to buy a Bible. You can get them freely or a simple search on google. Apparently you have access to the Bible, for you like to cherry pick it and post things out of context.

When a poster's comment is bleeped then it is obvious to all that they have is nothing but contempt for the one they respond to or the subject matter at hand. In this case the Bible. The one historical book that holds more truth than any other and continues to be the most attacked book of all times. Yet His Word shall never pass away. Ironic, isn't is?

Yes, I have nothing but contempt for a (*)(*)(*)(*)ty fiction book that crazies pretend is the most scientifically accurate book ever written.
