Yes, they are color coded according to the different lines (which are all owned and operated by different people), but they only announce the stops in English on the shinkansen lines. The city train stations are announced in Japanese over 1950s era PAs at levels that rise only briefly above the din of the train themselves.

and for people who think I'm just stupid, I'll give you five minutes to figure out how to get from Osaka station to Namba JR station. If it takes longer than that, you will have died from standing around in the heat too long.

You make it sounds so hard, firstly put the map away, then get out your phone, type into google maps Osaka station to Namba JR station and then press Search.

You will quickly find that you need to walk Osaka Station to Umeda Station (170 m), catch the red line (Midosuji Line) to JR Namba Station.

Easy enough to do if you have a phone that has a 4G connection, sure. Actually, I used google maps quite a lot to get around. Maybe I am just dumb. I'm a country boy and find cities incredibly irritating and confusing.

I do know I wasn't the only idiot there. I had a lot of good company, and heard irritated squabblings amongst groups of italians, koreans, hong kongers, mainland chinese, germans, a few other nordic languages, and your occasional American family who were just as confused as I was.

All-in-all, I had a great time! Got to see some really great bands and eat some good food. But I'm not going back.

I never understood the need for a foreign country to pay for your border. Isn't it each country's own responsibility to provide for and defend's it's borders? Besides, a world power such as the United States should have the ability to do it without outside help.

If you think Osaka is hard to get around in, try Tokyo.

Unlike liberals the wall is not personal with me

I don't want to see a wall built just to glorify trump or stick it too the *******s on the left

But the left as this writer just confirmed does want to embarrass trump by denying him his wall

And in so doing they are denying 62 million voters their wall

I have... It's worse. Just that I was in Osaka for the first time recently and found it to be just as infuriatingly difficult.

    nevermind trump

The bigger issue is why the republicans in congress would send trump a bill that does not include money for the wall?

I don't give a **** what Trump does or says really.

It's congress that gets legislation to his desk.

Congress is even more inept than Trump is.

So these people are already carrying 300-400 lbs to go over a currently non-existant wall. so why would an extra 60lbs for a ladder to go over your dream of a 30ft wall make any difference?

When a question is worded as "why would......", an answer of "yes" makes as much sense and logic as Trump's promises

No. They will have help. It is definitely very possible, and probable.

Roger, all the hyperbole over a government shutdown is nothing more than political propaganda, fear mongering etc. It's done to paint the the party or the president in a bad light. Usually it works. When government shutdowns were common place during that 12 years period, no one paid any attention to them and even the political hyperbole about them stopped.

I like it because it pisses Mexico off. Mexico benefits greatly from its citizens illegally crossing the border, getting employment illegally and sending back money. The fact it makes Mexico angry is because they have been exposed for what they are: corrupt.

    No, it's not.

Physical barriers work by slowing people down and making it harder for them to move from point A to point B, when done correctly.

The barriers that have already been erected, like in San Diego and other places around the world, work to keep people out.

Are they 100% effective? No, but they are very effective, and are just one part of a larger system.

If a solid wall wasn't as effective as a wall made of air, we wouldn't put them around prisons.

The answer is simple, a wall is not the only part of a system, and everything you do to make it harder for someone to move point A to point B results in fewer people crossing.

If you think carrying a 30 foot ladder through the desert while loaded down with other supplies is going to be simple, you've never tried it.

The other problem they have, which should be obvious, is that a lightweight aluminum ladder 30 feet long that might weight 60-80lbs is going to be easily spotted by cameras and drones. A 30 foot ladder made of wood is going to weigh hundreds of pounds.

Walls work. It's why people still put them up. It's why we put one in San Diego, it's why they put one up in Israel, it's why we put them around prisons, it's why many countries in Europe are building them right now to stem the flow of migrants.

This is not about prisons, which much smaller than what Trump proposes. Due to fear, a huge increase in border patrol agents, the
effort to enter has been reduced by 50% already. Instead of a 35 billion dollar wall, why not spend money on drones, border patrol jobs, and other technology, and have a great result. It is cheaper and will work. The 35 billion can be used for infrastructure, inner cities, etc. This wall is unnecessary and is just an extension of Trump's penis, where he will plaster his name to satisfy his ego. He touted that wall under the false pretense that Mexico would pay for it, which is nonsensical. To say that another country would pay because he said so? He promised to "repeal and replace the disaster known as Obamacare" under false pretenses also, because Obamacare just needed fixing, not replacing at a huge cost. He didn't want Obama to get any credit because this guy is jealous.
What the hell kind of a person did we elect?

Libs know it will work, which is exactly why they don't want it.

Immigration is down because someone is actually enforcing those laws, instead of writing laws that circumvent them like Obama.

Obamacare cannot be fixed. That's why it was created. You were lied to by Obama, Gruber, and everyone who worked on Obamacare.
