Why the fixation on the whistleblower identity?

If there is sufficient additional corroboration, his testimony isn't necessarily relevant. This would be particularly true, if his complaint was based on second hand observations, with actual witnesses (those on the call) verifying his report. In this case, the President's release of the "transcript" of the tel-con pretty much verifies the Whistleblower's complaint, with only slight differences, which may be judged by the testimony of other actual participants in listening to the call. Also...he followed the law and both the Intelligence IG and the Director of National Intelligence agreed that the complaint was both credible and urgent.
That determination meant that it should have gone directly to Congress. It did not. Instead, the newly appointed DNI took it first to the WH for an "opinion," and was directed by the WH to consult with DoJ. DoJ judged it to be irrelevant to further investigation. It was only after the Intelligence Committee sent a letter to the WH, based on a report to it by the IG, that the transcript was released (and funding released for Ukraine).

It is the criminal mentality, where the worse crime is being a rat. The idea is, if it wasn't for the whistle blower, Trump would have gotten away with it. It seems to me that many Republicans are okay with Trump cheating (asking for and getting Russian help) because they got what they want. They are equally okay with Trump, and the Party, cheating in the upcoming election. Some of them may actually believe that Joe Biden was the wrong doer in this whole affair, but I think most know better. If only the whistle blower hadn't come forward, that dirty rat.

CRUB-A-DUB-DUB: Did the whistleblower scrub his social media footprint before filing his complaint?

If Eric Ciaramella is the Whistleblower, Democrats Have Made a Major Blunder and Their Credibility Will Evaporate.

    Extras from the Addams Family
It’s remarkable that the low rent fools running the Democrat Party, who reassure each other that they are smarter than everyone else chose Ciaramella, a swamp viper who slithers among them.

Ciaramella submitted his complaint for the sole purpose of triggering an impeachment inquiry, as Americans learn about his activities, the limited credibility of the Democrat Party will evaporate. Especially if the Durham investigation turns up criminal or merely unethical behavior on the part of Obama Administration officials.

Ciaramella in 2016 was a "special favorite" of his boss, then-CIA Director, John Brennan. He was only too happy to do Brennan’s bidding during the election season. Because of Ciaramella’s experience running the Ukraine desk at the NSC, he worked with Ukrainian-American Alexandra Chalupa, a former DNC contractor, and Hillary supporter. Chalupa’s work digging up dirt on Paul Manafort forced him to resign from the Trump campaign manager and signaled the start of his legal problems. It also laid the groundwork for the Trump/Russia collusion narrative which followed. And our wonder boy, Eric Ciaramella was a part of that.

Then, of course, there are the people that were directed to pass on the extortion.

What part of Mark Zaid's admission flew over your little head?
This is Mark Zaid, the attorney for the whistleblower — the leaker. “He stated just days after President Donald Trump was inaugurated in January 2017 that the ‘coup has started’ and that ‘impeachment will follow.'” Here are the tweets from the whistleblower’s lawyer: “‘#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion. #impeachment will follow ultimately.’ … In another tweet, Zaid responded to President Trump’s government account after Trump announced that he was appointing Dana Boente as acting attorney general.

“Zaid wrote, ‘#coup has started. As one falls, two more will take their place. #rebellion #impeachment.’ In a statement provided to Fox News, Trump campaign communication director Tim Murtaugh said, ‘The whistleblower’s lawyer gave away the game. It was always the Democrats’ plan to stage a coup and impeach President Trump and all they ever needed was the right scheme. They whiffed on Mueller so now they’ve settled on the perfectly fine Ukraine phone call. This proves this was orchestrated from the beginning.'”

Why would you believe anything after finding out these people have a single purpose --- to preserve their positions as unelected decision makers of the bureaucratic state.

When all is said, the only question left will be just how an avowed Communist was named to run the CIA. Vladimir Brennan should be tried for treason.

So he doesn't like Trump. Whoopi!
Your just jealous because someone other than Trump uses Twitter.

About as much as Zaid poking Trump.

Maybe we could let Avenatti and Rudy out of jail to help.

    Which explains a lot.
Rumor has it it was a disgruntled obama holdover who heard something from some other disgruntled obama holdover. I think it was Eric Ciaramella and I think his lawyer is a guy who right after President Trump was inaugurated, said, ‘coup has started’ and that ‘impeachment will follow.'”. Think that ******* has an axe to grind?

I don't think anyone is so thick that they would interpret Zaid's words as anything less than announcing a conspiracy against 63 million Americans who voted for a brash, unrepentant, successful candidate.

    You.
An expelled leaker is not a WB. He is an operative, and his ass will be cooked by the legal system, along with the rest of the co-conspirators
