Poor is kind of relative. Doctors in their first and second years live like starving students.

They have no savings and still have large student loans to repay.
But they can easily get a loan from the bank due to their expected future earning potential.

Imagine you have been held in prison for the first 12 years of your adult life and suddenly you are released. You have nothing yet.

And part of the reason most doctors "earn so much" is because they're working long hours to try to make up for lost time. Imagine you haven't been able to earn anything so far and now you have a family to feed and have to save up for a down payment on a home.

You will try to reach the break even point to make that investment worthwhile as soon as possible.

I did the calculations before. For a doctor who just worked average hours (few of them would), medical school would not financially pay off until they reached the age of 42 or 43. That would be the break-even point.
I know, too complicated for the little people to understand.

Yeah, but even then a lot of doctors are doctors because their family is solid upper middle class. A lot of the reason they can even be a doctor in the first place is because they have supportive families.
Not that I’m an expert but I have watched a lot of TV.

Plenty of doctors came from lower middle class and Asian immigrant backgrounds.

You have to be capable of doing academically well, and many lower income class people are not that gifted in this department. (It's the genes!)

It appears your moniker here is well chosen.

Ivermectin used as early treatment is very efficacious.

A person who doesn't understand that has been well indoctrinated by the Church Of The Poisoned Mind.

    Nope, it's where they live.

Being born poor is worse than being born addicted to crack.

You are using an old myth. Because it's been disproven dozens of times, it's now dumb and dumber.

Thanks for the tip. Without your post I would have walked around completely deceived but that really settled the debate.

From all over the world, and its efficacy as prophylactic is also excellent.

If you had done your due diligence, you would know that. Most likely you prefer the dogma of the Church of The Poisoned Mind. Ignorance is bliss, I admit.

So, you can't cite to any studies to support your bullshit claims, huh?

    But I can.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/zachar...p-covid-patients-study-finds/?sh=19ec5726434b

Ivermectin, an antiparasitic drug used by former President Donald Trump to treat Covid-19 and promoted by some Republican legislators, does nothing to prevent the disease from progressing, according to a study out of Malaysia published Friday by the Journal of the American Medical Association, confirming prior studies suggesting that ivermectin does not effectively prevent or treat the disease.

There was a study out of Israel that showed it was only moderately effective.

    Not in play here
Pharma companies and product companies are by law not allowed to “gift” health care personnel to the point they can no longer even buy someone a cup of coffee

Given the effectiveness of the anti virals why are we still beef thinking of discussing this?

Not a research paper but an opinion piece in a fringe outlet

The ones that were so poorly designed that they mean nothing?

because they can.... we need to make all medications over the counter

time to get rid of the "prescription police"

we should go to doctors for advice if we need it, and then we decide for ourselves

when I was younger, I had to go in every year to get my allergy medication, now it's over the counter, so now I do not have to see a doctor every year, saving me time and money

That Israeli study was found to be so flawed as to be worthless.

    https://www.newsweek.com/ivermectin-covid-treatment-study-flawed-scientists-1627109

The study states that COVID patients with a CT value of over 35 in the first two tests were excluded, despite this not being included in the study's initial exclusion criteria. "It appears that the authors have added an extra exclusion criteria that is applied after randomization and treatment," Meyerowitz-Kats tweeted. "If you add these people back in, the results of the study entirely lose their significance," he added.
