The super rich international mega corporations such as in Silicon Valley, Google, Amazon, etc absolutely want 3 things:

1. To continue to suck money out of the USA thru foreign sweatshop production
2. To minimize wages and prevent unionization for American employees by assuring a massive glut of people in the labor pool by millions and millions of immigrants
3. That to deal with all the Americans with no employment - now nearly 100,000,000, because of this they demand that the government take money from those Americans who still do have jobs and give it to those 100,000,000 Americans with no income due to globalization.

The DNC, Democrat politicians and Republican politicians - along now with millions of Democrats - worship and given those corporations anything they want and agree with anything their corporate public relation firms - such as CNN, NBC, ABC, NTY, LAT etc present those elite super rich and their international corporations want - which is corporate fascism that they completely control.

President Trump and his supporters do not. The Democratic Party and its supporters do, except when President Obama said not to and then they didn't. Many to most Democrats think and do as they are told - and rant accordingly, often opposite what they were ranting about the year before, whatever they are told to think and do.

Yes, being illegal and seeking work "under the table" they undercut wages, keep Americans' wages low, and are subjected to all sorts of abuse (threats, failure to pay wages, etc.)

Making them legal would end all these negatives for everyone. But they remain pawns of the government and right wing manipulations and it keeps the harm to Americans in place. So the right and the government are as guilty of suppressing wages as the illegals are, -in fact moreso because the government is in charge and causing it with the backing of the right that keeps it controversial by griping about it while nothing is done. The right thing to do is to provide citizenship to those with good track records who have been here for years, and those with persuasive reasons to stay, and deport the rest.

I don't suppose you know that many illegals are threatened by bosses to force them to work for low wages, and that many are screwed out of wages entirely because they have no where to go to make a complaint. It works both ways.

You have little company. Most Americans have reasonable compassion for those with good histories.

I think you meant "undocumented immigrant" which has been used for years.

 

Cut off benefits and the birthright clause. Require strict confirmation of identity for routine activities (online database).

Deport every single one caught. Require local law enforcement to to hold them for deportation when caught for other reasons.

Make sending money out of the country more difficult.

Make anyone who overstays a work visa, etc ineligible for re entry or citizenship.

And make an example out of every employer caught.

We have done something like this before, this isn't an insurmountable problem.

Used to irritate me when media would fail to make a distinction between legal and illegal when it was very clear which group they were talking about. I come to realize it is just another tool to use to determine the bias of the source. With nearly all media these days having an agenda knowing where they are coming from is important in establishing how much credibility you can give to any given piece.

I don't see a real problem with lefties having a problem being against illegal immigration any more than nighties having a problem with legal immigrants. It is mostly a game played by the media and used by those in power to widen the divide.

 

Princess, I'm all for perp-walking a few CEOs on the nightly news. Again, not the topic of this thread, but I'd be happy to support enhancing IRCA to include jail time for unscrupulous employers.

 

It has to be a multifaceted approach to be sure. That means cutting off the demand as well as the supply.

Open a newspaper. Read a quote from Elizabeth Warren, Eric Garcetti, or read the signs at the rallies that say "no one is illegal." That you are trying to deny this is actually quite amusing.

 

If a couple from China came to America and had children here. Those children are Americans not immigrant's. The parent's might not be able to become president, but the children can. Thus Americans, not immigrant's. This is a nation of Americans not immigrant's, it's one of the major ideas of America.
